Hi flis21, welcome and good luck. I am a newbie as well :)
Lost 4lbs last week and am feeling on a high at the moment. Just off to investigate the SW site again.

Hi everyone, thanks for welcome. LilacL - fantastic weight loss well done.

Empty Purse - Yes walking into the class last night was really hard. I am glad my Mum was with me or I would have bottled out!

Anyway am trying to look at this as turning over a new leaf. Am going to go food shopping this afternoon, whilst I am in positive mood and buy lots of veggies and good things.

    Need help AGAIN.............blast!
How do I do a search on the SW site? I'm looking for details of the 'Sucess express' mentioned recently. Perhaps I'm not using the site as it should be used.
I had so much trouble getting into it yesterday, then had to go and and now I'm having to go out again. Really will try to have a study of it tonight. I was going to go shopping later (after lunch), so would have liked to buy some ingredients. I'll buy the usual sensible stuff, but bet your life I miss a vital ingredient for whatever recipe I want to make later.
I need to plan a couple of days in advance.

Suewre - I want to be able to wear some calf length boots!!! I bought a beautiful pair of pointy black suede quite gothy boots with lots of buckles on last summer and I can't do them up - they've sat in their box since I bought them, they will do up even less well now since i've put back some of the weight I lost last year!!! I've never been able to get boots to zip up - even the wider calf ones! And - I want to be a size 16!!!!

LilacLillie - yes , the chinese team meal is tomorrow - everyone keeps mentioning it......I'm not so bothered about that one because I can't actually see the food, so it doesn't bother me as much, but all those flippin' cakes!!

    Hello new people! good luck!

Millie - don't let the bad food win! What's causing the boredom? What are you eating that isn't boring (but is bad)? Maybe you can find a SW equivalent.

Lilac: use this link if you don't have the url saved.
Logon (i believe you've managed to register) using the Group PW: cabbage (lower case) and your personal details.
    Continue to homepage.
Select 'Features' from the top lefthand menu list. Then select 'Features library' from the same place.
Scroll to the 'Your Slimming World' section and select 'Focus on...mix2max & Success express'

Hope you the site starts to behave for you! It's not the easiest site to use but the more time you spend on it the more you'll get used to it.

55 minutes to go and I'm all alone......another mullerlight munched and a huge stash of cakes in my field of vision!!

Sorry for boring everyone this morning about the damn cakes - but if I keep typing, then I can kind of vent my frustration at needing to eat them - NOW!!! If I wasn't on a diet, I would probably have had one with the others mid morning then at least another one, maybe two whilst on my own. Stupid really - I remember Paul McKenna saying once 'food has always been there, and will always be there' - ie - there is always going to be food available for you to eat , so don't give in to eating it because it is there and somewhere tucked away in your mind, something is shouting - 'eat now, you might not get to do it again!!!'

There are so many cakes though they are going to be hanging around for days on end. I'm hoping they get put in a fridge down the corridor tonight then I won't be as bothered about them.

I've always said - (and I'm guessing as I've never been a smoker) this is how a smoker feels when they are trying to quit - tempatation all around and fighting the urge just to have the one.....

    hi all,

Haven't posted for a while now oops, theres been a lot going on!
Hello to all the newcomers, and well done for takin the first step and posting on here.
Keren you have done so very very well, just think about how much your willpower has improved from how it must have been previously. Resist the cakes, and then you can have something using your sins, that you really want and will properly enjoy later on. Like you said, you only want them because they are there, and if they weren't you probably wouldn't be thinking, ooooh I really want a cake. Most important thing is to eat what you really want, in moderate amounts, and then you will feel satisfied, not guilty. I never enjoy 'naughty' foods half as much as I think I will, because there is always that sense of I really shouldn't be eating this.

Anyway, the good news from me is that I lost 2lb last week, and another 2lb this week. The only thing is Im not happy with the v.cheap scales, think I should have got some digital display ones, because that way the reading isnt open to interpretation! But anyway, the dial is definitely moving along! Also done some measurements, and lost 3.5 inches this week, and 3.25 last week. Getting there slow but steady!

Good luck to everyone, especially to keren in her battle with the cakes!

Keren - think of it this way - you haven't eaten any yet - and that shows you DO have willpower. If you had wanted to you would have had one by now! Let the others eat it and then you will be slimmer than them!!!

    Hello all,

Just thought I'd take the leap and subscribe to the thread. I've been on a "new" lifestyle way of eating for a month now and lost 7lbs. Here's my story - got to a very heavy weight over 6 years ago, and decided enough was enough, got diabetes, and PCOS, went on a low carb diet and lost 7 stone in a couple of years. Weight then stayed the same for the time being, got put on different medication for diabetes and it's been HELL to lose any more weight but last week I weighed myself and I'd lost 7lbs. Still got lots and lots and lots of weight to lose, but this time it feels different as I am determind!! Actually went online and bought an outfit a size smaller today that I have been - so I'm a happy bunny!! Would love to keep in touch with you all on this thread and I need to know others are going through the same thing!! :) Lovely to meet you all and here's to some more weight lost!! :T
