    Hi guys and gals,

Please can I join the forum?

Back to WW it was last week, after being a hunny 10 - 12 for 6 months (after the last attempt), I'm now back at the door of size 14 tight waist bands, rolls when sitting up, can't run up stairs etc.

Much against my MS ethos, I'm back to paying a fiver to stand on someones scales for 10 seconds, I did set my 'goal' weight as high as possible ('cos once you've reached goal you're a gold member and stop paying), so my incentive is to be very strict with myself to lose 12lb as fast as poss, to stop paying the money, and then to slow down to lose the second 12lb.

It makes me so  to be overweight, but it's my own fault.

Fortunately I've got fabby support from OH, and work colleague who also wanted to lose weight and joined at same time.

    Here's to bein' slimmer

    SW friendly lasagne white sauce?

Boyf wants lasagne tonight (i may want some too!) so i thought i'd try and make it as SW friendly as poss.

I have, so far, 3 options:
    1. Jar of Dolmio sauce is 22.5 syns. I'd probs be having 11syns over 2 days with that
    2. Milk and cornflour? Maybe some cheese. Will be an experiment. Cornflour is 3 syns per 28g
    3. Some sort of fromage frais/quark combo but i'm doubting that i'll be able to 'cook' this in the oven without it curdling.

Any help would be great guys. It may end up being a little experimental! Or i may end up with the jar :(

    Hi Girls ;) & Guys!

Right, Saturday morning was the time I hit the shops and fridge is stocked out with Fruit. Made a lovely veggy pie sort of thing. Mini Sweetcorn, green beans, carrots with stock (not oxo as its got MSG in it!) with sweets puds on top with some cheese (naughty) with toms - (oh it was very nice!), I need to make some more.

Last night to the pub, friends brought me a coke but turned it right down as I am not having that cr*p in me again. Stright to the orange juice (geez £1.65 for a small glass - what rip off!)

Have cut the tea down to 1 cup a day in the morning. This morning started with a bannana and apple. Got the munchies at the moment, so will have weetabix in the mo while dinner is cooking (which I will be taking into work)

Cheese sauce, some milk (1pint) with plain flour (4 tablespoons - you may need a little more to thicken it up a bit more) and heat it and kept stiring until it thickens, then add some cheese. Simple as that - and no E numbers in it either.

My real boost is going to be me handing my notice this evening (I can't wait!!!)

Found this recipe for cheese sauce in an old SW magazine. It was for macaroni cheese but you would be able to use the same as a white sauce for lasagne.
you will need 1/2 pint milk, 2 level tbs cornflour, 150g pot very low fat natural yogurt, 4oz grated cheese

Blend 2 tbsp cornflour with 4 tbsp milk. Heat remaining milk in a saucepan and stir in cornflour mixture, stir until thickens. remove from heat and stir in yogurt and cheese. voila!
I haven't tried it myself so can't vouch for the taste ;)

Anyone got any ideas for hot puds? I am getting bored with jelly, yog and fruit all the time and long for sweet and warm.

The other night I had a crushed digestive biscuit, topped with sliced banana and covered in toffee muller light...It was fab!
I have a few "warm" recipes for SW desserts and tonight I am due to collect the delicious desserts book by SW that I ordered last week. I will PM you some or post them on here.

    Hi Jen

You don't say if you want it green or red. I did a green lasagne the other week, I used quorn mince, and tinned toms with some mushrooms and onions for the bolognaise. I layered the pasta with the bolognaise sauce (no cheese or white sauce) and on top I poured a mousaka type topping of beaten egg, grated cheese and milk. Served with a jacket potato and salad. It was very yummy.

well, the deed is done - I raced up to Tesco in my lunch hour to get the batteries for my scales - they didn't have the right ones!!   They take two lithium ones, so I was stuck with three choices - buy new scales, wait until tomorrow and drive to Sainsbury's to see if they have them, or take a risk and buy the ones that look the most like the ones I took out! I took option 3!! And they work! :j

Not so much :j though as more  when I got on, I wasn't far off my guess of 19 stone - 18 st 13 (well, 18 st 12 3/4, but thought I'd round it up!) BUT BUT BUT

A little switch went DING in my addled mind........and I suddenly feel like I did when I started SW last time when I was 20 st 9 - in just a few hours, something has happened and I'm now really motivated!!! :j :j :j

So, bring it on!!!!! (am I really the same person who posted 24 hours ago??!)

Weigh in will be 3pm ish on Mondays, and I'm aiming for a re-start loss of 3 pounds this week.

Thankyou everyone. I was a wretched mess last night, but something has happened and I suddenly feel extremely happy and motivated. I'm going to scan the thread for the SW password now and re-log on to my chart. :T

what a difference a day makes?! brilliant to hear you sounding so much more motivated. Good Luck Keren, though at the moment it doesn't sound like you're going to need much luck!

Here's to the new motivated (and soon-to-be slimmer!) you
