    Hi Girls
I've lost just over 1 lb this week better than nothing!! I have struggled because the week has been busy and I have been having problems with my shoulder and had a lot of pain and the physio I had made it worse - and I have to go back for more physio today boo hoo. The worst thing was that when my strider arrived I couldn't use it and I 've just been watching my son use it everyday. So that felt like a set back. I keep thinking I will get better and I will be able to use it soon. I want to have a few 3lb loss weeks so I feel a bit disappointed today but I know I must not give up. I have cut out a picture from the Slimming World magazine of someone approx my starting weight and height and another piccy of them at their target. These are now on my fridge.

Cheekymole - I made the cake and 3 out of 4 of the family liked it. Just my skinny daughter that didn't so I will just make it for the 3 of us. Also tried the frozen grapes which were a hit with my daughter and me.

Anyone got any ideas for hot puds? I am getting bored with jelly, yog and fruit all the time and long for sweet and warm. Cheekymoles cake will help but I need more to satisfy my teenagers.

Good luck everyone - don't forget to pm Cheekymole with your weight loss.

Gosh, I go away for the weekend and so much happens... 4 pages worth to catch up, Phew!
Welcome & Good Luck to Lilac Lillie, Michael and Keren who have joined whilst I was away - sorry if I've missed someone - I will read back and check I haven't.

Keren, You say that you aren't motivated to lose weight - it will be hard unless you are. How about this - try sticking to a healthy eating plan for this week - SW, WW, calorie control.. and do stick to it. Weigh or measure yourself after a week. If you have lost weight or inches there is nothing like that feeling - and that should motivate you to do it for another week. If you have a difficult day don't throw it in, come on here and have a whinge and a moan - we all do - and we can talk you through it.

Good Luck to everyone this week - Me, well I was away for the weekend and was really good until yesterday. I did have a few drinks on Saturday but was good with my choice of meals. Yesterday we nipped into a pub for lunch, we had about an hour to spare before catching train to airport. I ordered a chicken breast burger. (was having a red day) . The bread that it was in was frozen and the chicken wasn't very appealing looking - think rubber chicken! I ended up eating my OH chips because I was hungry and didn't have time to get anything else. I imaging those chips are lodging right on my bum and tum as we speak :rotfl:
Well, weigh in tonight will tell all. Back to reality today.
Cheekymole, I'm going to try your lemon cake today. Just need to nip out and get some lemon curd - or I may make my own.

Looking forward to hear everyone's weigh in this week.. All together now "WE CAN DO IT" :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, nothing was said last night. I got on the scales this morning - and the batteries in the scales had gone!! I need to go and buy some this afternoon and i'll weigh myself later today.

I'm going to go it alone without saying anything for now and i'll see how it goes. I had some cereal before I left the house, but the sandwich trolley is due at 10 and that's one of my weakest times of the day.

Thankyou for your messages of support and PM's......I'm going to see how I go. It felt like it helped writing it down (although I could have gone on for pages but had to stop myself!!)

I go to Spain in 9 weeks and I'm going to aim for 1.5 stone off by then.

Keren - how about a banana or apple or muller light yogurt instead of the sandwich. Maybe you could bring something into work so you have it and then you won't be tempted to buy a sarnie. 1.5 stone in 9 weeks is achieavable (sp). It's good to see that you have a goal, this will motivate you!

Jane - good luck tonight - let us know how you get on!

Reading Keren's post made me wonder why i feel much more determined to lose weight than i have done in years.

My main motivation for being so determined this time round is medical reasons. At the weight i'm at i'm at a very high risk of getting diabetes and IBS (and lots of other things). I'd much rather control my diet on my own terms (and those of SW) now, than be forced to control it later in life due to diabetes. My mother was forced onto a low fat diet when she got some painful gall stones (and the operation to go with it) and i don't want to end up in the same situation (or worse) just because i ate too much when i was young (i'm in my 20s).

Keren, i really hope you find the motivation. Your addiction to food is fine as long as your addicted to the free foods on SW, for example! Good luck this time.

Personally i have massive drawer full of bananas, apples and grapes (i spent £8 at the fruit stand at the market this week!) at work so that i can't be tempted to reach for the birthday muffins (or similar). I think i'm getting a rush from choosing the right food that is replacing the need for the junk (i feel better having the apples instead of the chocolate bar despite the naughty urges!).

Cotsvale: What a great idea about cutting out the piccies. Will have to find some myself!

    Good luck everyone.
