How did you fund and did you leave money in overnight or remove same day?

I funded with £1K via BACS from an external account. £1K left in each of the Rewards accounts overnight, just in case cycling it through didn't qualify, (which, as it transpires, it does).
  • Hmm, they have given me one reward account and two normal ones without explaining why :(

How do you know? If you're looking online then they take a day or two to add the "reward" bit to them.

It's been ages. Plus I have been sent one Reward debit card and one normal one. I just phoned them up and asked them if they could change the normal account to a Reward one. They said they would send me some forms from head office??

The only two current accounts that you can get from Halifax now are Reward and Ultimate Reward. So it has to be Reward.

Interesting. Now I'm really confused why one debit card says current account on and one says reward account!

Managed to open all 6 accounts last month and duly received my £30.00.
    ..
    How did you manage that?
I already had 3 Halifax ones and opened a BOS one online. It got closed within a day. Has anyone else had this?

I couldn't open a BOS account after opening 3 Halifax ones either.

I managed to open all 6 accounts (3 Halifax and 3 BOS) last month and got my £30.

They are all still open and running fine and I have funded them each with the same £1000 this month.

I have though left the £1,000 in each Account overnight.

    I opened all six back-to-back online - 3 x Halifax website and 3 x BoS website.

I was already an existing Halifax customer, having availed myself of the £100 for switching to the HICA a couple of years back and was registered for online banking with them. This account has pretty much been dormant though.

The main reason I think I managed to open all 6 was that I found my Halifax log in details worked on the BoS website and therefore, I proceeded on the basis that I was an existing BoS customer too!

Just by stating that I was an existing customer, I found that their systems automatically recognized me. At no point was I asked to enter an existing account number, roll number or sort code. I ticked the "fund later" box every time and activated each account by transferring £1K in by BACS from an external account and leaving it there overnight. Mercifully, I haven't needed to go into the branch at all or pay in a cheque for £100.
