I wondered that, but dreamalive said they'd opened a new reward account, rather than converted an old-style account. I know you don't get the fiver until you deposit £1000, but I wouldn't have thought they'd pay interest for the period up to you making the deposit would they?
Even new accounts start off as standard current accounts according to online banking. They seem to acquire 'Reward' status later.

I logged in yesterday to check for my 3x£5 and nothing was showing. I have just logged in again this morning and surprise surprise I can see my accounts but not access them, and also my BoS account seems to have been "converted" and is now listed as a savings account?!?! Work that one out. Good job it wasn't a fully working regular use bank account. Just imagine the charges you would rack up as nowhere else accepts to work with a savings account. :)
I'll try logging in again when I finish work and hopefully find out what has happened.

Can't believe this worked just for shuffling 500 internal pounds round 3 accounts on Saturday! Nothing stayed in the accounts for more than 10 seconds, apart from £1 holding amount.

So, come on MikeY, what's the interest rate for £5 net paid on a £1 deposit for 3 days?

Just curious, did you do a shuffle as above again in March and get your rewards paid in April (this month)?

Panic over. I think they must have had a small system glitch as all my accounts are now back listed as Reward accounts and I have my £15 again. Thank you very much.

I was a bit friendlier this time and left the money in overnight :D

    Been paid.
You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...

 think I'll do the same - it was tempting to try the shuffle though.
  • Hi all,
first post here, though I've been lurking for a while. My wife an I converted our BoS joint current account to a reward account at the beginning of March and, after finding this forum we each opened solo reward accounts. The joint account is funded with my salary each month. The new solo accounts I funded with £1,000 from the joint account and straight back again (within a minute). Today, each account was credited with a £5 reward. As a result I have applied for a second solo account today and my wife will do the same, so hopefully we will get £25 "free money" next month:j
  • Further to yesterday's post, I tried to open another Reward account online yesterday and tonight it is showing as application declined...it looks like they are catching on:(
