*** E2save Cashback Problems ***
I HAVE SENT A NUMBER OF CASHBACK FORM MY FAMILY MEMBERS VIA RECORDERED TO E2SAVE AT THIS ADDRESS "Chequeback Offers, P.O. Box 4259,Wednesbury, WS10 7WZ " ALL THREE WERE SENT SENT SEPERATLY AND ON DIFFERANT DAYS, BY NOW THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED. I HAVE TRIED TRACK AND TRACE BUT NO INFORMATION IS COMMING UP. I CALLED ROYAIL MAIL AND THEY HAVE NO FURTHER INFORMATION AND TO WAIT FOR 15 DAYS.
A SENT 2 EARLIER IN THE YEAR BOTH OF WHICH WERE SHOWN DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY AND A WEEK LATER I RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE TO CONFIRM THE CHEQUEBACK HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
IS ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM?, I HAVE EMAILED E2SAVE AND THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING AND NO TEXT MESSAGE TO CONFIRM.

First off. Stop shouting (turn caps off).
Second how long have you waited before checking with RM. I would wait at least 2 or 3 days and then check.
It seems unlikely that 3 items to the same address can go missing. Maybe it just hasn't shown up on their system.
I would wait a few days and then query it.
BTW, I used e2save twice and have got my cashbacks ok.0 -
its happened to me before, ie cashback claims not getting delivered to their wednesbury address despite using recorded delivery...
what i did was to ring up/email their Customer Services...long story short, they gave me an alternative address to send it to (the Belton House address or something like that)...i suggest you drop them an email stating how long you've been waiting since posting the claims, and RM's responses to your queries...they should be able to help.0 -
I have sometimes had to nudge them, but never have a major problem
Noticed the recent "cashback leaflet" says copies acceptableAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I always send in a copy, that way you have a backup. Also I have always sent my cashbacks to belton house. Heres a email i got ages ago from them (not sure about the fax number anymore):Please send in a copy of your ???? bill to us, you can send this to
us via fax to 0871 222 65 05 or by post to: Customer service Admin

They recently have been sending text messages a few days after they get your claim to acknowledege they have got it Then a week or so later you get a second text saying cheque will be sent to you in 28 days.
Best to send a covering letter with the claim: the phone number you would like the text sent to, along with e2save order number, e2save customer number, tariff, name, address, order date, which bill you are sending in, etc.
hth
just to add recently they seem to have got their act together and are sending claims with minimum of fuss. I had a t610 contract ages ago and it was real pain, constant phone calls and emails. But with the last contract it has been relatively painless compared to what people have been going through with onestopphoneshop (a sister company)I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.0 -
hi, just to follow on the op....i have sent my first cashback voucher to e2save last monday by recorded delivery....checked the royal mail track and trace...but it keeps saying "come back later" Phoned e2save and they say try calling next week but the 30 day limit is getting close. Went to the Post Office and they gave me a claim form but were rather dismissive. What do you think my options are?
Thanks for your help0 -

all of my 3 item were sent a week ago and i am getting the same response as above and were sent on differently.
just been on the phone to e2save, unless the item shows delivered on the track and trace, e2save cannot do anything about this, they have checked their records and nothing has been received and requested to send it again. they advise they collect their mail on a daily basis
looks like royal mail will get a lot of compensation forms for this, i called them today and they are gona send out some forms0 -

max compensation you can get for sending something recorded delivery is £26 unfortunately. If they can't trace it, it usually means that it hasn't yet been signed for (rec deliv items aren't fully tracked i.e. they can't see on their systems where it is at all time like they can with special deliv items, the only 'tracking' that occurs is at point of sending and point of signature.)
i sent my application to e2save at the beginning of Dec, and only got the cheque last week. They did send me a text about 10-14 days after I sent though, to confirm receipt.0 -
I also sent my bill last Monday to the Wednesbury address, but it's still showing as not delivered on the Royal Mail website. will wait until tomorrow before re-sending it again, hopefully it will arrive there the next day this time and there was me thinking that this was a one-off!0

I thought it was £30??
Plus the value of the item inside the envelope is what the compensation is paid for. In our case, it's just paper, so don't think we'd get anything for it, except a refund for the postage!0 -
This illustrates why Special Delivery may be more appropriate (but more costly) as you can then track where it is. It is £3.85 but you may also consider adding £1.25 for "Consequential loss" (ie if the paperwork goes missing and cannot be replaced, you should then be covered for the cashback).
