You own one half (and if the wife divorces you which may happen) - a quarter of a house.
Now let me think whose the loser?
And if someone who I normally agree with on a lot of subjects disagrees with me thats fine - it proves nothing.
There are very few people agreeing with you on this subject or your other long post about people scrambling for properties.0 -

1. The property sells. I get the GSP. If the price is lower, my employer makes up the shortfall. If it is higher then I get the extra.
2. I buy another property. To stop me having two mortgages, the GPS kicks in and Connells take on ownership of the old property.
The property almost sold once last year but the buyers dropped out as the mortgage offer was withdrawn from them. Now a new buyer has come forward but that's probably because they have slashed the cost to get rid of the house. Even then, I'm not hopeful.
However, this is not an issue as we have found a place to buy. The mortgage is arranged and secured and we are just waiting on the completion date so the GSP scheme can be triggered.
So from the move down in 2007 my employer has been paying some of my rent as I (until the GSP is activated) must obviously keep up my old morgage payments.
Now that is clear, please stop calling the GF a liar. Thanks0 -
FTB's might be back.
However reasoned and logical thinking has yet to return to most vendors who seem to still be living in 2007.0 -
My work relocted me (and WK). In doing so they used a company called Connells Relocation Services. They bsically check out the house and offer a guaranteed sale price (GSP). This price is triggered in two ways.

fair enough but you can see from her post's they were not very clear, maybe if she explained herself better, likewise with the properties in the location she said about them falling through, i looked and there wasnt that many there was more gone sstc today than what there has been since christmas.
I dont mind people who make valid points for a discussion but when its just been made up in their head, its a bit wrong.
especailly when they attatch a link from a month ago.
Likewise with your girlefiends calculations for a of 80,000 pounds mortgage, people come on here for advice the least they should get is the right advice, or something near it.
i have seen a few of her post's and think they are slightly wrong by about a mile maybe, you should stick a padlock on your keyboard.?I am not a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as not being a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
