7/8 Feb Weekend - What small things have you done today thread???

We're going for a NSD - taking the kids out and taking packed lunch, going to the seaside & park for free, and being a sunday the shops aren't open for them to ask for stuff. (Not that they do anyway)
PLus being out means I won't be tempted to put the heating on all day! Got meal planning for next week to do, plus the shopping list - doing it online from now on. Spending what they ask for in delivery on a taxi anyway at the moment, plus if hubby comes with me it always ends up a big shop....
Hope everyone has a lovely cheap day! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Have to go to the allotment today so will research planting garlic, apparently it is the last chance
x
Most folks say that you plant it traditionally on boxing day. Garlic needs a period of cold to make the bulb wake up properly, under 10degrees so thats why folks plant them so early. So if you can't get it into the allotment at the momnet either start them off in seed trays and put them outside or just break up the cloves and put them into a bag in the bottom of the fridge for a couple weeks-month with or without a bit of compost in the bag (it doesnt really matter) the main thing is to get them nice and cold.
Plant them out later on when you are ready - your crop might be a bit smaller but to be honest - I planted mine over xmas holidays - and they have sat there sulking. So to be honest thus far you haven't missed much.
Never trust a french plant they sulk in Britian!!!!!
Anything else PM me - no Alan Titchmarsh by any stretch of the imagination but I can hold my own!!:rotfl:
The reason I am in so much debt is flowers!!
Away to do my list now - don't listen to a word if you don't want to - I often put folks to sleep.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
