But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
- quick clean through house with stardrops and microfibre cloths
- look for some bargain veggies at market
- Free coffee/hot choc with friend in town
- find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- do one thing just for fun
- sparkle

Hope you all have something nice lined up for the weekend, quiet night planned here tonight - will probably share a bottle of wine from xmas with OH tonight whilst watching a dvd, and catching up with everyone's posts on here. Will be heading out shortly for a coffee which will be my indulgence this weekend, thereafter onto my second viewing of a new build house. I'm indulging myself! If there's a deal to be done, I'll consider it, if not, I won't!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

Morning all!
VERY icy here - snows frozen over so no snowmen today:sad: , We ARE going to drag Piglet up to the shops on a sledge this morning though!:D Had fun last night at work though. Our 40ft trailers couldn't get up the slope out of the yard so we all had to get pick-axes and shovels to move ice and snow. Quite good fun!! Muscles are aching a bit today though
So here's my little ol' list for today:
* Check on-line banking
* Do ironing
* Sort through toiletries was given for crimbo to see if any suitable for MIL for mothers day hamper
* Ring Granny using free minutes to see if she needs anything
* Skype call with cousin in NZ later once I work out time difference
* I WILL sort out some ebay stuff!
Thats bout it. Happy saturday everyone!

Hello Everyone,
I'm back from Egypt. What a lovely place. The 25 degree heat was definately a bonus. I would definately recommend Egypt as aplace to go. The Nile Cruise was wonderful. As lots of you know BF became Fiancee - thanks for all your good wishes. It was a fantastic holiday all round.
We were delayed coming back because of the British arctic conditions so it has been a bit of a hard slog getting back into things and I am also struggling with the time difference so I am awake super early for me!!
Right back to earth with a bump. I really have to get back to DFW ways - need to get debt free to be able to start my married life in credit! We still have a few people to tell so part of the weekend will be spent on that.
