  • morning all

been pouring snow here again overnight which is uber depressing. Still, pup slept well though the night so that was a bonus.

Been to stables, road was just about passable. Mucked out and bedded down just in case it is bad again tonight which is forcast.

Just to also update - I finally remembered to get my road tax yesterday!

Feeling sorry for DD as she is out doing her monthly paper round and her feet are absolutely freezing. Am tempted to help her but to be honest, I also feel it is character forming and dont see why I should help her earn her pocket money. I think it is a hard lesson but a necessary one to learn that it takes hard work and sometimes it is not fun to earn money to do things you want to do. Will make sure I make a fuss over her tonight and she is also having a sleep over so will get them some nice cheap treats at supermarket.

    So finally, a list

    - dry washing on radiators
    - purchase extra gas - gone through £20 this week but it really is freezing
    - soup from freezer for lunch
    - swedish meatballs, sauce and chips for tea (also from freezer)
    - purchase/locate free newspapers for doggie to save money as the pee pads cost so much and we are going through them like water at the mo.
    - scratch & click
    - watch 2nd dvd using the rogof voucher. (watched my sassy girl last night which was really good and got Tropic Thunder to watch later)
    - microwave popcorn from cupboard
    - might dye hair using one I have in the cupboard - its looking a bit peely wally
    - finish TMA 4 - extension finishes today
    - finish work on this weeks part of the online project

    so thats me for now...

Does anyone know of a DVD swapping site like Bookmooch but, well, with DVDs not books?

    xx
  • Laptops make good knee warmers
Just raided charity shops and got a brand new k/s duvet for a £5 and various candles, tops and jumpers - and a lovely fleece for the garden age 12 for 50p - currently sitting wrapped up in it now - its soooooooooooooooo cosy

    Hoping you are all grand!!

Hot choc in hand (with squirty cream) dd and I took stuff out in the camper to walk the dogs and have a hot choccy on the beach - but - hail, snow and icy winds - so we gave up - poor show really but tbh its bitter.
Off to try and do a spend diary and a budget
