    ouch you seemed to have had it rough with the council so cant really blame you for not wanting to go back there. It is a huge amount for rent but only you will know what is cheap for your area and what isnt. My friends mortgage isnt that for a three bedroomed house.

    anyways chin up and keep smiling ;)
    :mad: sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.

    I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long :(

    You cant blame the housing side of the council for the benefits side of things. Two different departments AFAIA

    So you have 10k coming in, but have 8500 debt. That doesnt leave much deposit. Plus you will want to spend a bit, its obvious, eveyone would want a little treat out of that.
    Total Debt -was £14,700 aprox NOW £13,835
    Paying each month-800-850 (hopefully)
    Hope to be debt free about aug 2010

    jst done snowball and ive decided to pay off the lowest totals first and then concerntrate on the bigger ones. snowball said my debt should all be gone in 2 years. my debt? i mean OUR debt.
