Sugarpants - stop crying. it's not going to solve anything.
Do yourself massive favour and cut your credit card up now. If you are serious about getting your family out of debt then you have to stop living beyond your means and start being real about stuff.
You can't afford £380 for photos. There are loads of cheaper options for getting photos taken - what the heck are you thinking?! It's an absolute waste of money.
If walking round the shops depresses you, then stop going into them. You have a goal to get rid of your debt and you are never going to reach that goal until you have your light bulb moment and realise that you simply can't afford to waste your money on "stuff". Pointless "stuff" that is never going to make you happy.
Cut up your credit cards.
Stop spending on them.
Work out a standing order plan to stick to a repayment budget that you can afford
Get your husband on board
Stick to your budget
And start being strong.
If it's not too late to cancel your order for your photos then do it. You can't afford it."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
We need at least one of our CCs as sometimes we have no money for food Mr Cow
And we walked round shops as that was all there was to do for free.
I know what you mean about photos. But Ds had some doen when he was 2yrs old and we couldnt not get any of DD it wouldnt seem right. Hoping the grandparents will give us half towards them;)Sugarpants - stop crying. it's not going to solve anything.

You need to work out your monthly budget for food from your bank account. Otherwise you are racking up more debt.
And cut your credit card up. Until you do, you're in denial.
I've got 3 children. Trust me, the kids could care either way whether you have photos of one and not the other. Buying them on CD isn't the full price anyway as you'll have to pay for printing too. I've just had large professional canvas prints of my two girls done for £40 each (and I understand you can get them for cheaper than that) so there are other options.
Seriously, don't make excuses. If you keep this up, you're going to end up in a whole more load of debt. If you think it's bad now, think of how you're going to be in 12 months time if you keep this up. I know you don't want to hear it. But it's the truth. I could give you nice cup of tea and some sympathy instead, but it's not going to pay the bills is it?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Hi Sugarpants, thanks for the warning, thats why l've been asking about 50,000 questions about it, they want me to do the accounts which is what l cant do thats why l have an accountant,it makes it tricky coz of the self employed thing.
Dont be too hard on yourself about the photos, l myself did the very same thing a couple of years ago, my OH was furious not because l'd bought them but the fact they were so expensive and the company traded on the fact because it's your kids you'll buy them all and make you feel bad if you dont, but see if you can cancel them, if you can you'll feel better about it.lf you cant just dont do it again!!
Now cheer up. Big hug X0 -

hugs to you. things will get better right now it doesnt feel like it feels like everything is spiralling out of control but once you get things in order and work out the best plan for your situation things will slowly start picking up:mad: sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.
I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long0 -
We have three kids and cant afford to spoil the youngest two the way we used to spoil the eldest when she was little. While its not fair, this is whats down to plain old circumstances.
You have been robbed with those photies. That price is ridicuous, you can bet your life the photographer doesnt have your money troubles. You do, and you have done yourslef a major diservice buying those. I doubt you are fully grasping your situation, and havent really had your LBM yet.
Its scary but its like a weight lifted off your shoulders when you do have it, believe me.
Cut ALL of your cards up now. I sympathise with you 100% btw. I know exactly what its like, you stick impulse buys and shopping on there, you keep saying to yourself 'It'll get paid off' time and time again. The truth is if you dont stop spending on them it may never get paid off for years.
While on the subject of spending money on the kids, I dont let them buy ice cream from the van anymore, the other kids in the street get them, but I keep telling them Im not paying to fund the ice cream mans Florida villa:rotfl: You have to be cruel to be kind.Total Debt -was £14,700 aprox NOW £13,835

I agree with him.
Good luck with your council applications though guys.
Excuse me for saying this, but do you see yourselves 'above' council housing.
The above post just reeks of a hint of snobbery if I may say that.
Paying £875 a month is obscene, when you could half it.
Also - how would you ever afford the deposit for that two bed maisonette.?
Sorry for being harsh, but you really need you head out of the clouds for a moment.Total Debt -was £14,700 aprox NOW £13,835

Not snobbery at all. WEve had a lot of bad run ins with the council...
£875 a month is cheap for a 3 bed house where I live.
