If you're flying off anywhere then you can get the D50 plus 18-55mm kit lens for £404.16 from Dixons Tax Free shops in airports - see here. You can also apparently phone the shop up in advance to order it - see here

Thanks for the idea, but i can't say i've got any immediate plans to fly anywhere.

ended up buying from currys of all places !!!
their normal online price for the D50 kit is £429, but they have a promotion that gives £25 off if u spend more than £300. that takes the price to £404. i also went through the 'rpoints' cashback site and if that works i'll get a further reduction of £11 (£5 for joining rpoints and £6 cashback) making a grand total of £393 inc delivery for a uk stock black D50 kit :D

have to be quick though, as the £25 off ends on the 28th feb...
  • Where is the £25 off promotion please.

    hi Paul

when you go to the checkout on the currys website enter the promotional code currys25 and click update and £25 will be deducted.

if you go to the currys website via the rpoints site (have to sign up first), then the u will come to a promotioal page where it gives the codes for £25 off if you spend more than £300, and £50 off if you spend more than £600,
it also says the promotion ends 28th feb..
    hope this helps...
  • I'm not a big fan of currys, so i'd prefer to buy elsewhere if possible.
So does anyone know if the ebuyer cameras are uk stock? And if they're not what problems would that cause?

Argos are advertising the Nikon D50 including 18-55 lens for £393.99 until Bank Holiday Monday if that helps.
