i grabbed the black one yesterday ,amazing what a bit of demand will do to shoot the price up,the body and lens is 418 now down a tenner i think
i get mine delivered in 10 days roughly cant wait!!

If anyone is interested in getting this with the kit lens you can get it for under £414 at present from Boots. Its going for £460 at present, but then there's a 10% promotion kicking around.

On top of that you will get loads of Boots points and if you use one of the referral sites you could get up to another 4% off the price.

Really good bargain for a great piece of kit.

i have bought the body only but grabbed the 18-70 lens on ebay in mint condition 2nd hand for £130,apparently this is a much better piece of glass i am told.
The sd fast memory card to go inside is on Amazon now for £42 down from 51 yesterday!!!

I got the 18-70mm lens on ebay for £127 inc postage and then sold my 18-55mm lens for £108! I read every review there was to read and the 18-70mm is far better apparently. It is a much better built lens that's for sure.

I've been looking to get a nikon d50 for ages now, so i'd love to get it for under £400 with the 18-55mm lense.
All the prices seem to be going up now though. E.g on Amazon it went from £408 to £418 and now it's £429.
buyacamera.co.uk seem to have the cheapest price at £426 inc. delivery, they also seem to have a very good reputation.
Do you think if i wait a few days/a week the price will go sub £400 again?

If you're flying off anywhere then you can get the D50 plus 18-55mm kit lens for £404.16 from Dixons Tax Free shops in airports - see here. You can also apparently phone the shop up in advance to order it - see here
