  • Has anyone bought from this company and is the lens any good ,maybe the body on its own is better to buy and buy a separate lens.
    Appreciate any advice

I've got this camera and bought the full kit back last year. The lens is OK, but I did have to upgrade pretty quickly. However for £400 that preice is a steal.

7day Shop have two Nikon lenses at bargain prices:

    Nikon - AF Nikkor Lens - 28-100mm f/3.5-f/5.6 AF-G (Black) for £69 reduced from £179, and
    Nikon - AF Nikkor Lens - 70-300mm f4-5.6 AF-G - Black Version for £67.99 reduced from £149

    P&p is £3.95 I believe.

Anybody know if these lenses are any good, and why they seem to be so much cheaper than other similar Nikon lenses?

Also, are they compatible with the D50?

This sounds too good to be true...

This deal is £60 cheaper than the next cheapest price for this camera. I'd advice anyone to be a little cautious before jumping on this deal.

    Hi,

The Camera is excellent however, the 18-55 kit lens is not of the highest quality. You would be better trying to find the D50 kit with the 18-70mm lense which is the kit lens from the D70s. This is a much better lens in my opinion however if you want a value for money DSLR & Lens the price is excellent.

    Cheers

I think someone else has already posted on those lenses. They are not supposed to be the best quality either. However the price is very keen, especially for a beginer.
