Elaine don't mean to be funny but i'm in a M post code - i.e highest risk - 21, male, 1NCB and 3 points on my licence - it's expensive - people on here would consider £376 expensive. ( Don' think i'm coming across in a funny way, just saying what the situation is :-) )
I'm doing bits on the side with cars at the moment.
I do have bits that I could sell - I will dig those out in the morning and get them on ebay. :-)0 -

could you find anywhere to store the fiesta offroad (SORN) but not use it (no tax, mot or insurance) - ie so its not costing anything or as little as possible
if you do that you will either retain your love for it and be able to do something if your job situation improves or get bored with it hanging around and it will be easier to get rid in 6 months rather than now.
Also - I suggest using the "up your income" board to find ways of doing stuff for a bit of extra cash. Matched betting might be to your taste, but be careful with your addictive personaloity as it is easy to make mistakes and lose if you are not careful
keep smilingI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks Mark -
The fiesta has had it's SORN filled in today - there's no MOT on it - and had insurance cancelled today.
So that costs me nothing now.
Mobile phone bill down to £20
Insurance down to £176 per month
I will have a look at the up your income board - does it work? (as silly as I sound!)0 -
up your income does work - but its a slog.
I made about £600 from matched betting - only doing mainstream bookies, and not pushing too hard. I then spent 3 months working really hard with some minor league bookies and pushing very hard and made £300 loss.
my advice - just look for some easy cash then stop. Cheltenham gold cup week (early march) is good to start - great offers - but read up about it and practice first.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Will have a look ito it mark cheers.
Phoned up payplan - they can't helptold me to offer a token payment until my situation improves. Oh Joy, this will be a long ride.

Another issue: what else have you got to sell ? We have all gone through the mill of selling off anything and everything on ebay/ car boot sales/ amazon/ play AND EVERY PENNY you make now to put towards this debt is what you need.
I also agree that you should get rid of the project car, im sure it means a lot to you, but tyour future is looking rather uncertain. Do you think you will get more for it by selling the parts ?Do you have other "spare parts " laying around that you could get some cash for? Even a fiver here and there will make A LOT of difference to your situation
Good luck:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hey Dan, welcome! Good on you for posting and starting to put things right, you should feel really proud of yourself for taking these first steps in the right direction. You're really fortunate to be living with your parents, I reckon once you have found a steady income (even if it is significantly less than what you've been earning in the past), everything will come together for you. There are loads of good suggestions to be found on the boards here - I see some have already suggested the 'Up your income' board, that's a great place to spend some time. You'll be fine - good luck and keep us posted! xLBM Nov 06 -Highest debt £37,000

Sorry Dan, I did at first think you were a troll, new poster, totally unbelievable income for a youngster like yourself . However you truly seem upset over this in your further posts and I just wanted to reassure you that this will soon get better and be a far distant memory. The other thing is that I really feel you need to tell your parents about the debt . Forgive me if you have already I haven't picked that up in the posts. I just feel if you were my son and in this bit of a hole then I would want to know before it all got too much for you.Even if they can't give you anything towards it or loan it to you. I know that they may go on a bit about it but they would then support you all the way.Good luck! I envy you just starting out on life at 21! You never know this may really change the course of your life for the better.xXx-Sukysue-xXx0

Touch wood it will!
They know about it, sort of.
To be honest adding it all up i thought i had much more than the figure shown (debt wise)
My original income was working 60 hour weeks, 7 days a week.
A lot of work and i guess i spent money to make my self feel better or working for so long.
Tomorrow I'm gonna clear out the garage / house of bits I don't need and put them on ebay.
Lets hope I sleep a little better tonight.0 -
