HI Fay, sorry to hear about the house. You mentioned prices. I found this 5 bedroom on an estate agents website in Orkney (not sure if its near you). They are asking over 220K but its immaculate and looks like it s not long been decorated. This might make it more expensive?

Update today
Added up my dd's (no I haven't done this before) I use to peer at my bank statements through my fingers hoping for the best.
I am looking to move the other dd's to my main account and then they are all in the same place.
Paid extra to loan from lodger boy (- cleaner money)
Phoning to down grade the other mobile until contract is up to minimum package
Given OH £100 towards flight - which I don't mind as at least he will be up and as I can't really travel through school time I like to contribute when I can (might be the guilt from the stonking row though
)
Updated spending diary and looking at sorting out a real list of food in freezers etc - also looking into buying bulk meat 1/2 sheep or a 1/4 cow - we only buy local anyway - so I guess as we have the space I should look into that a bit more and it will help with planning
Started a word doc with recipes last night - ta piq - I had loads saved in diff word files - now I am putting them into one place - or I might just print them all off and stick them in a file in the kitchen - love the idea of a virtual list for food though so will keep a list on pc xx
Planted lots trays last night and some things in propagator now - fingers crossed.
Still mulling the house situation - being a pessamist I panic and think the worst. Will get a better idea of timing when chum is up.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

You're doing fine, it takes a long while for all the pennies to drop. A couple of months down the line you realise there's a better way of tackling certain things. Remember me? happily throwing extra money at three of my cards, then realised I needed to hit the big interest one? I paid off random extras for months! Now I'm a little better organised, but there's alway room for improvement...

I do love abuse - but that's another matter - glad to hear somehow that work is now ok (ish kinda?)
As I think you are married no more talk of foot rubbing or I will go all wobbbly - I think feet are wonderful - polishing my big red beast however sounds a bit rude. I haven't even sat in his lap yet .....lol there we go again (thinking oh god do I mention a big red beast between my thighs - probably best not)
Onions - depends where you are - soon I guess - I am trying this year to start mine off in trays or plugs and then putting them out in April - supposed to help develop strong rootsystems - so giving it a go. I tend to do my shallots before my onions, then when the shallots show sign of first life - I plant out my onions because it means the onions should start off pretty quickly.
my logic is thus - shallots are harder for birds to pull out because they are heavier. So if I plant the shallots first - when the soils at the right temperature to start they start sprouting - so thats a good sign that hte onions will get off to a quick start and then the birds won't pull them up.
If that makes ANY sort of sense
I do love abuse:eek: ,,,,, hang on whos diary is this , [strike]piq's[/strike] oh no, you aswell :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thats *so* true that it takes a while to get things going - I've literally been on here for years, have earned thousands in dfw work, and I still haven't re-jigged my telecoms - I'm just about to get shut of sky and go onto virgin cable, which will finally save £14 a month.
I've also spent the afternoon rescuing bricks from a neighbour's skip (with permisson!) to build part of a raised bed wall!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
eggs - 23 sorry forgot to say - not bought an egg since the hens arrived in Sept so that's progress
wren - yeah its the original wren - been in the research freezer for a while now its come home
well done on rescuing bricks - its shocking how much stuff is bunged in skips - think there should be more legislation soon make councils take everything and recycle or reclaim it.
(no offence to anyone dumping stuff)
U are giving them a good second life - well doneTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
