  • Next time you make a scary loan payment could you please send an extra 11p. I have this thing about nice round numbers and the 11p is spoiling the roundness of your numbers:p :rotfl: (OCD me? :rotfl: )

Scary Maclairy Loan is looking good:T :T :T

Shhh don't tell me I am in denial (with LT) - scary to think honestly if I have extra money and its not sucked in that it does actually help.

I get to write a lovely shiney invoice tonight for work mostly done in the summer - just need to review my flower work - woo hoo (wait for it £9something)

Whilst I dont get this kind of work very much - its great cos A it pays well and B I actually KNOW how to do this so today's been a joy thinking about flowers again and knowing I can actually do something that I understand.

My normal work just makes me feel incredibly stupid and hurts my head.

Off to find my specs cos my eyes are sore - at DS school parents evening so was being a 'parent person' all night.

Once bespecticalled I shall find out whats been going on - write down the tesco extra number piq mentioned look at my list and read the threads I like.

I collected 10 tiny teeny weeny shells

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/wildblood/2845603496/

these look huge - they are the size of your pinkie nail - and very very hard to find - but so beautiful - they are thought to bring you luck - had a long think over weekend about what makes me smile, beach-combing does that - and these peedie shells

We found 10 today - so hoping a few days of luck smiling on us.

I just ate half a bar of choklit and now feel very sick - for those of you who know me - will understand - ergh.

Will put a pic of peedie on my avatar if i can figure it out

Why - well I only eat a bit of choklit once every 4 weeks - and never understand why :rotfl:

    Hiya
Thanks but I know its only the first month - and first month of lodger girl (her money went there) and last month of the b & b boy - so I have frantically chucked his money in there too and anything I wasn't expecting.

Long haul wise the other ones will need attention - so I know slow and steady win the race - but when they told me I was paying 17% I nearly fell off my seat - swore alot and then thought (swore again) and decided the treats etc would feel all the better if this loan is gone - and if my job goes in June I don't want this one hanging over me

Thanks to all for keeping me focused - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Glasses needed seeing thread through a haze of tears (earlier) and sea mistyness:D

    Morning all :)

What's everyone given up for lent? I think DD will give up pancakes, luckily we only made 4 to have for dinner, she was good at helping me toss them....but then took one bite and spat it out, so had rice cakes and cheese instead :( Oh dear, mummy just HAD to eat them all, waste not want not after all.....

Hope today only brings sea mistyness on another lovely walk, not the other - hugs
  • Decided to give up caffeine for lent as drink too much tea and coffee. Have decaf at home but copious amounts of full strength at work and out and about so will switch and take decaf to work. I may be more grizzly than sparkly for a while:rotfl:

Be careful and watch your head as you get horrible headaches for the first day or so - (speaking from experience!!) my OH is the caffine police - he can't have any as it gives him panic attacks - so I have to hide the real coffee when he comes cos he tells me it makes me all twitchy and paranoid! Good luck

Still thinking - I could give up wine - (choklit would be really easy:rotfl:)

  • Hello
    Peedie update for today
Just paid another lot over to the scary hairy loan - lodger girl rent just came in so now its all gone. - Very scary.

Also spoke to penguin boy last night (always difficult - bit emotional) ANYWAY
He's agreed that I can use his money (He lent me £3k ish at 0% to pay off my Egg card when they offered a settlement) to pay the stupid loan off early and then I can prioritise him.

So I paid the money stashed for him - so although it looks like its coming down fast its a bit unrealistic really as its just shifting money from one debt to another - but it is getting rid of the silly one I guess.

Report nearly finalised so then I can bill college - woo hoo - did most of the work last summer so it feels a bit odd writing out an invoice now - hope you are all wellxxxx

Fay, 17% isn't as bad as some believe me! I have some family members who work for a well known company that provide loans (they also do the Argos store card I believe), the APR the company they work for is 399% yes you read that right. They all know my VERY strong views on it. At the end of the day its their job and they can't help who they work for but still there should be a law against APR's like that!

As for your loan if it puts your mind at ease done the right thing. Oh and the tiny shells are absolutely gorgeous. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing (OH accidently broke my pearl oyster shell in the bathroom, the sort you buy in gift shops that has the necklace bit for the pearl. Gimmicky but I liked it).

My tesco voucher (clubcard) is way beyond face value and still has a few days to go. Has anyone on here sold one of these before? Do I need to claim the deal for this person first? i.e. they let me know at end of auction what deal they want, I cash in my voucher and once I receive chosen deal voucher I send that on? Sorry never sold one of these before but I can see why people do it. If anyone knows or knows of a thread that explains it, point me in right direction please!!!!!!

On another note, I made £47.88 last week. Trying to keep my motivation up this week but not done much except a few surveys this week. No extra work yet. Not sure what to give up for lent. Might actually at least do some stomach exercises, ok so its not giving up something might it might spur me on to keep it up.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
