Hurrah hurrah hurrah for the evil gloominess has passed.

    Update for today

Thinking of using some of it for debt and some of it for a seriously good lawn mower - which I know is outrageous but we have alot of garden to mow and guess who might have to do it??

what about a goat or three ???

Aside children, dogs, cats, chickens, fish and various frozen things - I dont really do animals, you know the kind of person - (sorry piq - sure captain is ace xx) . YOu msut remember though that I am vetaphobic due to the evil one so its not fair for me to keep animals really.

Garden is a bit formal and wouldn't suit goat or sheep - we have about an acre or so in proper swishy swanky flinky flanky seriously boring lawn. Think I might get evicted if I put in some livestock - although I did think about it.

I'd love a couple piggies (apart from me and the kids) but I don't think its a good idea.

I also don't do grass and for a gardener thats not great - if I had my way I would make lawns illegal. Waste of a good bit of land putting grass on it.

    Sorry you feeling c aarp

    Morning All.

Fay, look at it this way. If you get another lodger great its extra to fling at your debt and if your colleague doesn't move in then look to find another lodger but in the mean time enjoy having the spare room.

    How is everyone today?

Ta I know its great advice - I just have to be so careful with kidlets in the house to get the right person - xx

Not many folk like the strict regime at the hoose - ie
    No visitors staying over
    No alcohol
No bringing people back without asking
Keep the place sparkly and tidy
basically be v nice and don't have a raucous life when you are here kinda agreement:D
    etc etc etc

etc etc etc I am the houseshare police I think - so will see if chap in office wants to come share - he doesnt drink, no girlfriend and isnt looking, is doing a phd and works about 30 hours a week in Mr T's so he'd be perfect - and he's quite fun.

Difficult with the younglings to make sure you get a balance :D therefore I probably don't really get one, but on saying that UNIX I know you are right - I just need to be a bit more brave and get it sorted - ta for the push xx

Sorry if I sound so negative - letting strangers into the house has really made me think about the way we want to live. I know most folks are lovely.

When me and my brother stayed at my nans and were naughty or bickered too much, my nan would send us out in the garden (which is huge......)armed with cutting shears (i think, just looked like huge sissorsd) and we would cut the grass for her. she turned it into a competition to see who could cut the most grass, the winner would get to do baking with her!!!! (a big big treat back then)

No Fay, you're right about putting the kids first and I wasn't suggesting letting the room out to just anyone. Thats why I said if it just extra money if the right person doesn't come along straight away then enjoy the extra space until you do find the right person.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Sounds essential to me in the way a washing machine is essential when you have a family - it's a no brainer! Will it be a sit on and ride lawnmower, can I come and play????

    I'd be so jealous of a sit'n'ride mower :p

Already I'm jealous of your lawn, we have so many trees, and an extra water supply  that ours is now mostly moss. Not sure what to do really, but at least it needs less mowing.
