Mower, to be fair - its tiny and we have 4 normalish sized lawns and one at the back that is probably the sizze of quarter of a football pitch -

Howdy pardners, I can't sleep (DD's crept in again, suppose 2 nights in her own bed was at least 1 too many in her mind). YIPPEE, IT'S PAY and TAX CREDITS day, a major cause for celebration in this house

I can use a small strimmer to get through the lawn at my house, no need for a ride on (but would love to have a go on one one day....), have an 80ft garden but only about 25ft of it is grass, ok weeds and patches of mud...

More likely that I am the only stupid sucker who was silly enough to say yes to looking after this house and garden for a pal - funny enough they left early, running off - did I hear laughing - as they left us with a tiny lawn mower.

I know its shocking to splash out on something so decadent in these desperate times. I promise to recycle my chip fat in the mower to run it on bio-fuel and will use up the grass clippings old style and feed ourselves as well - cos lets face it there will now be no money for food over the next 3 months.

I know Piq told me NSD's aren't supposed to be followed by a huge spend day - but I forgot I am hoping its balanced out. I might need to go in later and say - OK £50 from this card, £25 from this card - etc until its all paid. I did offer to swap it for a 14 year old boy - but they weren't that interested - lol

I swapped an invoice done for flower conservation work for a lawn mower - the irony of that is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Money to save flowers for money to perform large scale geneside on the lawn - not very PC.

My ex-fish however are very very posh and they love living in the ROYAL botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Well when I studied there they gave us a key - did I realise we weren't supposed to use it at night? I may have forgotten to give it back as welll:rolleyes:

I've got a week off and OH has 10 days. Were planning to finish the decorating and maybe do some gardening, weather permitting. He is insisting that we take at least one day off, silly billy!
My fish have gone to 5 * accomodation but they were unfortunately transported in a vehicle designed for very norty people. but i did explain they weren't in trouble.
