Thanks ladies - I'm all embarassed now! That trip to Donna Nook was absolutely amazing - I was lying flat out on the mudflats with the camera, with seals all around me - literally a few feet away in some cases, they stink like mad, and they are incredibly noisy, but then they turn those gorgeous big eyes on you and you just melt! I've not been able to get back there the last few years but must put it back on the list for the breeding season next year. :D

There's some puffins on one of those webshots albums too if people want to look - somewhere around July 2008. Fay won't recognise them though, they're not frozen!

  • I get a photo book done every now and again - we've made one from our shots from the Hebrides for the past few years and every second year I put one together of more general stuff. I have had calendars etc too, and always have one of my own shots on my desktop at work which often brightens up a dull day! I started taking pictures because I have such a bad memory - it seriously is the only way I can remember a lot of stuff, but it's honestly just part of my life now. :D

    Hey all

Great day but now on a bit of a downer - landlord phoned to say that everything is going on the market asap - but I absolutlely get my lease until Aug 2010

Spoke to OH who is supportive - and is looking to have his house ready for selling/renting in April (ish)

But in the mean time rather than making plans I am feeling scuppered - stupidly looked online at houses and found a lovely one for £125k:

    http://www.lowsorkney.co.uk/property_detail.asp?pID=213

But of course its too early and I can't afford to buy (not sure I'd get a mortgage anyway)

Boo hoo its big enough, beside the student campus (rent a room) and has a decent garden, sheds and open fires (free fuel) and its needing decorated so its not too fancy looking

Its stupid I'm angry cos I like something - and its not my money and I can't afford a mortgage on my own, so I have to wait for OH to sort himself out (he will but it may be a while yet) - in the mean time - I guess there will be other houses but this one looks ace - but if we don't do something soon I guess I may end up renting long term again........................argh.

Waves to all - excuse me I am just being stroppy and looking to see if I have a spare stash of cash somewhere (it would seem not)

Am trying so hard to sort out my debts but feel more than a bit frustrated that I might end up again in less than permanent accomodation

Maybe I am getting too old for this moving around lark?
