hi fay, did the accounts, they're bad but not as bad as i've dreaded, but i'm due to get something this weekend and i keep thinking that i shouldn't.

Mixed blessing about Penguin chop's dog, i'm sure Peedie will come round about you going away and leaving him behind they usually do eventually.

OH got tickets for london yesterday, so have to go for a long weekend, not looking forward to it, but may end up see in the Lord Mayors show which i haven't seen before.

May have found a car for OH, have to discuss tonight, will mean all baby savings are gone, but we can replace 2/3 when he sells his scooter and we'll just have to resave the difference again. It's not as if we'll need them in a hurry.

    How's you? x

Jo - Hello - am tired and grumpy and that's about it. Hmm they haven't tracked my mega spends yet

Full of a pub lunch (OH paid) - he was in a meeting today with his big big boss in America via internet/telephone - will see what the upshot of it is - not holding breath

I've left him on the sofa watching a movie on the projector infront of a fire - lol - he has another meeting at 4pm - he may need to set an alarm!:rotfl:

LT - hmm big choices there - if the money's only being diverted for a bit then I guess its worth it to get OH a car. Then you can re-stock the bambino fund.......

You might enjoy London more than you think  as I've only been 2x in my whole life - I can't really comment!

Dog yeah - she's lovely but manic and sheds hair everywhere - cream carpets - black dog not great - she'd be better off with someone who's out more and our household gets so much calmer when she's gone. (Sorry Heather!)

Spent £105.23 on food stock up when south for the cupboards:j

and about £15 on xmas top up pressies (socks, hair stuff and bits from pound shop) :D

Oh owes me £48 for decorating bits

Travel was £51 +£30 petrol (for various charging around with kiddies) :D

Cash spent on toasties meals etc <£50

Fixing DD small cello - £25 for the bit and man fitted it for free - now she has one in France to practise on ;)

Still almost £314 in 3 or 4 days - whoops!

  • L - does it stick at all? And can I make porridge in him - if I put him on at bedtime ? That sounds so wrong......Brian needs to behave himself.

Very rock and roll lifestyle me - hope the young one is OK.

Aye he is coping. Think you can do porridge but have a quick look on the old style as they have a slow cooker thread. Rice pudding was scrummy last time and didn't stick.

  • Hello you lovely productive lot :)

I have been asked to go to a market research session (2hrs paid - £60!! no travel expenses - so being up north I definately can't go) in London.

    WHEN? Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th October
    SESSION TIMES: Morning 10am – 12pm, lunchtime 12.20pm – 2.30pm, evening 5pm – 7pm & 7.30pm – 9.30pm
WHERE? Central London: near Tottenham Court Road tube station

PM me if anyone in London fancies it and I can send on the email, they only have me on a mailing list so I don't think its 'critical' who you are but can't guarantee that bit.

Sounds good fay, but probably a bit of a hike!

Edna's looking a bit flaky these days.... :):)

Glad you got some shopping in! :) Poor old dog, but sounds like the right thing to do. And poor you too, sounds like you were a bit glum this morning... hope you're alright and revelling in the peace and quiet! :)

I've got 9 days left til PhD has to be done and printed off and ready to go. Aarrggggghhhh! :) Actually feel remarkably calm, am rising above hysteria and just cancelling everything else :) Gosh, it feels good to be this close to the end - you can do it too! Kind of a fatalism too - "doesn't matter that this bit isn't perfect, there's no time to do anything about it anyway!"

However, went to hospital for check up today, and found out I've put on OVER A STONE in the last FIVE WEEKS!!! That's what sitting on backside staring at computer, eating solely out of vending machine does to you!! So back to Slimming World (not very MSE, but I bet I spend more on the vending machine!) and back to running and cycling after the end of next week! :)

    Hope you're alright up there...

    Daffs

Lemon Tree - I see you are headin to London soon and not looking foward to it. I live here and manage to do quite well on the MSE front despite it being so outrageously expensive. If you are worring about how much the trip will cost, feel free to pick my brains about cheap things to do??
I even know a cheap pub in central London .... I know I know  hard to believe?!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
