Hi Karmacat - I've only haemorraged about £40 so far - on coffees, and stuff at train stations or picking up kids (met pal for a coffee at Borders books OMG the prices!!!)- but it still feels like haemorraging!!

Glad you like our squirrel nonsense :)

Evil edna now £600.02 - PAD went in today for the weekend - and I got 2p interest :)

Need to figure out how to get home - don't think tapping my shoes ala Dorothy will work - and Toto (Peedie) is at home already!
    15 flights a day
4 ferry companies > 7 sailings a day from various ports

= too much choice of ways of going!!!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Well, that isn't bad - you're out and about so far from home base doing lots of stuff, you're bound to be spending that kind of money,

LOL and [shriek] at the choices of routes - thats a lot of work figuring it out - I have enough problems with tube lines and trains across London!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Yeah I know - I need hit the local charity shops later and look at 'pounland' etc whilst here - I might take OH's big suitcase home with random stuff in - I just wish he'd decide what he is doing so I can either shop for food or not.

Missing my peedie pup - :) can't go on a beach without him - too rude.
Was OK walking at the botanics in Edinburgh - dogs not allowed in.

SO far I suppose not too much damage to bank account! My quidco Viking direct purchases (>£1000 student IT stuff) has not tracked yet.........not a happy bunny and can't raise a ticket until 23rd Oct.

If it's any consolation my viking transaction took almost 2 months to validate - they declined it first time round. £700 worth of office equipment so £42 thro Quidco. No idea why they take so long.

We're looking over the Forth waiting for the big bang. They dredged up a WWII mine again yesterday and bomb disposal were in the harbour this morning...always fun. I'd be terrified to drive a tanker down there.

EEEEK to mines - ergh - am looking over the forth too - well from the upstairs bedroom here I can look out to bass rock etc

Thanks for the heads up on Viking, the quidco info said it was quick to track - I spent 1100 quid (and chose viking cos of the ?8%) I didn't get my more-than transaction cos it shoved me through to morethanselect - £75 up the spout. Will give it a few days then raise something if its not tracked.

Just picked up my slowcooker - :) and got my chums asda discount so got mine for £6.30 :D

Kids have also landed en france so on the positive side I have two less mouths to feed for 2 weeks :) and I can make a good start on sorting out the xmas pressies :)

HP those naughty little monkeys stealling your squashes!

Sounds like you're having a good time Fay!

We call squirrels squiggles too :) Bit of a theme here! :) Loved the story about the names though, you're very clever knowing what they're all called :)

Good luck with the Christmas presents! :)
  • No luck with pressies so far - must try harder!

Got to asda and did some of my monster shop all now stashed in a plastic box with a lid.

Painting again today and if no change of plan up north tonight with OH.

Kids happy and landed and excited of the prospect of New year in Fife now as their step sisters will be in Edinburgh and means both I and the evil vet woman lovely EX hubby will have a chance of a catch up with 'our' kids - which doesn't happen very often cos he now lives in USA. SO we're already planning a walk and lunch! Go us :)

Cheerydaff - well they do stick to the tree of thier choice and nationality so its easy to make sure you ahve the right squiggles - and um very quickly think up - sorry I mean remember their names. :)

Therefore am going to hit the charity shops etc for a couple hours

Sainsbugs dont deliver here yet - LOL - so need to think about a shop as well :)

Hey ho off to the shops I go. After I hang a line of washing out for OH - lol

    :)
