Thank you me dear - how does it feel that I am almost tottering along taking my first wee steps in true DFW style? I soooooooooooooo want to do the 4k challenge - my utilities etc are terrible but do fancy giving it a serious go.
Your dotty thing gets regular payments for xmas etc sits on my desk! Ta xx
Paid forward the thoughts by sending on some seeds to folks - hope you are glad to get the cold bag back. Peedie claimed the lovely fleecy for his own and uses it on the bottom of the bed..,,,,,,,
OH decided that he may join us at the weekendlooked for a smiley pic of a lordly king person - this was the nearest I got!!!!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

I'm chuffed for you that you are starting to peek at the debts:T :T , it gets addictive you know once you get started - just think of it as depriving the banks etc of lots of your hard earned money;) eg every payment is x amount fewer hours that you will have to spend with evil supervisor because of debts:j
Thanks for the cool bag back , glad peedie is enjoying the fleece:D
Re the £4000 - some people are having a trial year or you could exclude your utilities, janey and some of others don't count their fuel costs for same reasons. Everyone is welcome over there:D
Didn't know you couldn't get smileys working - there is a few good ones on there for penguin boy - often wondered why you hadn't used them. I love smilies they cheer me up - suppose that's why they arent called glummies:D0 -
100k words - gulp (wonders if there's a smiley for exploding brain at the thought of writing that many coherent intelligent intellectual words one after the other, lol).0

i like all of your techniques for hunting slugs they made me chuckle.
funnily enough over here i have only seen snails...hmmm wonder if slugs never made it....
only strange thing is that i have got something eating my tomatoes. I am having to take them off before they are totally ripe or else they are not there the next day......
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hey SM
Penguin boy annoys me alot - he's the evil ex ex ex ex ex ex ex - (not ex hubby the lovely person I met after hubby) (and at the moment not my OH - a long story) who isnt really evil, but hey ho
I can't do penguin icons cos in my opinion I was robbed of a perfectly good (wonderful if a bit self obsessed) bloke.
All 'cos of penguins - think wallace and gromit - (the penguin is evil in that too)
Will look further into 4K - we have always lived a bit frugally - (my young folks mother is rubbish with cash - what can I say?) I chose to maximise time at home with kids rather than work, to the detriment to all of our finances I guess.
All my debts are due to staying at home and trying to sustain a life we had when with daddy (did I think they weren't going to know he had gone???)
Now that things like the evil loans are finally looking like i can tackle them I need (I think) more of a balance of work v expense needs.
I know we are very fortunate, we live in a place that has abundant 'space' in and out doors. But it does cost more for somethings
Don't get me wrong I love the job I do because (this sounds so trite) if I succeed - we might end up with cheaper more sustainable heating fuel here. That would make such a difference to life up here. Some of the housing conditions are so awful its unreal and folks just keep punting money into heating homes that aren't able to be kept warm.
But - wondering if all the hassles of a PhD are worth the impact on my family and life. Felicity Kendall and I are twins - (if you sort of squint slightly).
Will give the 4k board another look and may dip a toe.

With snails i squish and leave for birdies.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
