It's a pink fluffy sock day again down south

ps.was as close to you as ever likely to get (oo-er, sound like a stalker! :rotfl:) as was in the Cairngorms this weekend. I know it's not that close but it is in comparison to London :D

:) and the hygienist also recommended twice a week with ordinary cheap bicarbonate of soda - that might help too.

You know I don't think there is anything bi-carb can't do

I think infact its probably the solution to global warming

Stripey pants scurries off to secret evil ice cave into her science lab

Making the 'Batman noises' for a change of location:rotfl:

Been playing with my pH meter as am teaching (don't fall asleep on me now) soils, pH and nutrients tomorrow:o

Honeybear - you could have practically touched me - Cairngorms is where we go skiing now and again - was in that vicinity couple weeks ago

    Waves to Katy :)

Sticks a stripey sock out to all - been in Lidl - (loo roll offer 24 for 5.99) had a credit from them so fancied a spending spree

Bagged 5 ltrs milk for 10p each at Co-op

  • Good work on the loo roll and milk bargains. Drink too much of one and you'll be needing the other! ;) Fingers crossed for Darwin passing his annual healthcheck OK too - hopefully he'll sail through.

Glad you mentioned bicarb - I need to take some into work along with some vinegar to give the kitchen sink a freshen up!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOoh EH

    Was thinking of you today

I am 6 months into my stipey socks shop - various bits ahve been topped up - but tis wonderful and has worked marvelously

Am grumping and groaning about taking a car down in Oct (next weekend EEEEEK) to take kids to Edinburgh to meet Daddy - BUT to be honest having my stripey socks shop has saved so much - currently investigating the frugalist way to go down (not on expenses having to pay this time) and fill the car to bursting again like I did in April.

Bulkier items such as loo roll etc we get here - Its all good - loo roll for the quality/quantity Lidls deal is a good deal @ 24p a roll
I usually buy recycled stuff at about 17p but its not as fat and extravagent as this stuff which is also recycled or at very least FSC

    :)

Just think 'Stripey socks shop II ..........'The refill - time to top up - this time she's serious!'

Plan for today is work productively and finish lesson for later :)

Pay £10 to the evil one
Pay brothers rent (he gave me it last month and its all sort of vanished into CC) also paid my own (on time which is amazing!)
Move the final money over from expenses cheque which should be cleared to pay off lloyds cc (£270?ish) - not cleared grrrr
See whats up wiht quidco - need to redo house insurance this month and the car insurance next month - deep joy
See what I do about fixing my phone (flew out of hand in Shetland)
Need to be more careful with money as no extra payments/work for me for a while.

Start to look into methods of going south and see who I can ask to look after dogggie (well at least one doggi)

Must meal plan as well - we are eating from the store cupboards but it iis a bit random

Started to feed the birdies here as its sub-arctic - I swear its not much over 4 or 5 degrees this am (OK its 7 degrees)

    Scurries off to get ready

Sounds a good list, Fay. I like the "dogg" as singular of "doggies" :rotfl:

Working on transport can save such a lot of money ............I'm looking at cutting £3.50-£5.50 off my fortnightly trip to London, and £15 or so off my trip back home to Liverpool, and its a bit complex, but it does seem to be working. Good luck with it!
