We spend 2-3k a year at the mo if not more - oils cheaper than last year when it was 69p a litre - draw back of a large ish old house, an island (no gas), and poor climate means an added heating requirement of between 25-50% annually for most house holds here. No wonder over 1/3 of population here are in fuel poverty..........- you can tell now why i work in 'renewable heat energy' can't you?

And £1200 annually on electric (but the dd's just gone down so its about £1000)

Oh yeah and coal over the next 6 months or so - £300 (tis why I am trying to amass free wood)

I loved Topcat - maybe I can be Benny?

    I also love Hongkongphooy

Yikes to fuel costs _pale_. What do you mean you have no gas - you're in the North Sea for goodness sake. Get your spade out & get digging 4.gif :rotfl:

  • Totally agree Fay, HongKongfooy rules.

Just posted on KC's thread that our local library is loaning out energy monitors for electricity for free.

Worth asking in your local library.
