glad you're getting a proper assessment and that it's when you need to be in aberdeen yay they pay for you to attend a party it's the least they can do.
EH we've had to give my old cat a bath or two and he didn't like it much either, made him look funny though as he looked huge cos of his fur but after a wash looked like a chiwowwa (ok i can't spell!) mutt.
i've got yet another bloomin doctors appointment tomorrow, i think i'm falling apart at the seems at the moment, think i have a patch of cellulitus or something. well that's the office diagnosis, doc will probably think i'm a malingerer

Fay - really glad about your news. So good to get to a fresh environment where you can be tested outside so it is a completely neutral place.

And perfect that you can get free weekend with OH and go to a party. Karma works in the end!!!:j:j

Why don't you email quidco and ask them to get your ferry company on board????

LT - sorry to hear about potential cellulitius, my friend had that once and it was quite a thing to deal with. I hope you feel better soon and your GP doesn't treat you like a malingerer.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

I go a week tomorrow on the boat its all sorted woo hoo

And I am staying down for a week, have made several appointments with many Aberdeen folks and the Edinburgh supervisors from my MSc who want a wee chat to make sure I am OK and one of them has offered to help either proof or give some 'extra' supervision.

i am also going down to see if I can blag on a field course next year to help with the teaching (keeping my hand in at the Botanic Garden and Ed Uni is a good idea :))

Tonight out identifying birdies being taught for my PhD and my french student cooked dinner.

Hugs to LT and big hugs to the rest of you

Aw what colour is vera - and does she like beaches - its a must for darwin before he will ever consider a date?

Darwin is a baby he's only 21 (DD reckons that in camper van years that makes hiim 88)

But we can formally introduce them and see what happens given some time :)

  • Do camper vans have litters?

I thought perhaps maybe it was more likely you had a ...
    collection
    pod
    brood
    gaggle
    clutch

    maybe litter works right enough

  • Peedie update

I am registered at the college for a new student lodger in September (maybe) so will see how that works out - financially this will be very good for the whole stripeysocks budget. :) - it means I am living 'rent free' in my house (although the house is expensive to run it means we are managing to pay some extra to debts too.)

Today paid the lodger money to my CC - which has reduced it from £803 - to £503 - some of the holiday paid for!

Also paid another £5 from my ex-wine fund to my fluffy scruffy loan - so that means that its now

    da
    da
    da
    da
    da
    daaaaaaaaaaaaaah

    £95 - two figures

And I was good cos I nearly thought OK 200 to CC and 100 to loan but gave myself a talking too :) what would my chums say.........................so I have been good and prioritised the cc rather than pay the final of the loan.

Need seriously to meal plan - I don't need to buy any food until the children return - and to be hoenst have been a bit rubbish as I have taken the french student to the supermarket often - which has resulted in many >£30 purchases (which is very unusual for me).

Otherwise - slugs are reappearing as I haven't been on my usual slug cull
Tomatoes are just beginning to ripen
Hens have stopped laying cos its the summer (dont ask me - I dont speak chicken) seems a bit odd to be honest

Otherwise - um nowt much to report financially

Work wise - I am to go to Aberdeen and may take a week down the road if I can get enough field work out of the way, take the peedie and take myself down for some sort of 'family time' to recharge before I tackle the onslaught of work after my assessment.

I am trying to reaffirm (sp) some work ties from RBGE (Botanic Garden in Edinburgh) and see if I can continue to learn by helping on field courses, doing some group work and joining a few key organisations which might help me 'post orkney' when kids have flown <5 years.
Doing similar things up here to keep my options open

My exciting news is that I have been asked to assist in teaching a horticultural night class in Orkney with (MR GARDENING) himself (the chap who is the key teachign person in Orkney) - he's asked if I want to assist him this year with a view to my ??taking over?? the courses after that if I enjoy them as he wants to bow out. Only initially 12 week course - 1-2 hours a night once a week - which is just up my street, lets me learn and I am so in my comfort zone talking about growing plants.

    Hurrah hurrah hurrah.

But I know I don't want to take too much on - so being careful and for once in my life a 'bit selective' - cos normally I say yes to everything.

I hope I like teaching because I really wish to give the passion to others that I have for my subject. :)

My granpa would be so proud :)

BTW you can tell its raining and I am only inputing data - eh??? No field work today its hammering down.

Waves an excited hand to you all to say hello and thanks so much for being so lovely and wonderful :)

    Fay.

That's great about your fluffy loan. You are nearly there! When do you think it will be paid off?

Good news on the cc too. It all seems to be going well for you. Brilliant!

    hI BABY HEAD

    whoops shoutign sorry

um loan before the 15th August as thats when the SO should come out :) - I looked on here and I think its a couple of years early (OMG!!)

CC - feels a bit naughty as I was normally paying them off in full - but am chucking money at them as it comes in - that way i cant spend it :)
You all keep me on the straight and narrow

Trapped in the office as its peeing down - as much as I like surveying flowers

Um not so much as to stand in the rain unless I really have too :)

OH up tonight - does a peedie jig in her seat - I am it seems a small child - no kids to slather my silliness onto so the dog and OH is copping my full nonsensical self at the moment.

Bad thing - cleaner coming today and left her a nice note (with a notice for extra work at Lidl's as she is looking for more work) and I also asked her to hoover my bedroom - OUTRAGEOUS eh???? Having a tidy up for OH coming - I generally live in a guddle.

Well I figure, she gets paid and I am busy - so one extra room just this once is OK as the messy young folk are missing so surely there is less to do??

    :)

Data awaits more to plonk in........will try and behave this after noon

    BUT

I do seem to be wearing my naughty Knickers ............
