Really hope you are ok Hun.
Try not to get too stressed.....It won't be long till your holiday and even if Darwin can't come you will still get away from all the upset at work.

Fay, just to echo what everyone else has said, don't let them get you down! You certainly can do it so get all the help you can to sort out your supervision issue. I've been through this 'She'll never be able to do it' sort of thing since I was at school, now I'm Dr Trog so take heart! At school I was a Human League fan and I always remember a line from one of their songs: 'If you can stand the test you know your worst is better then their best'.
In the meantime a break sounds like what you need; if you can get as far south as Oxford you'd be most welcome in our rather chaotic and garden-obsessed house!
Hugs xx0 -
Hi Fay
I haven't been reading much on this thread lately so popped in today to catch up on everything.
I can't believe what they have said. Dyslexia doesn't mean you are less intelligent or less capable in any way shape or form. It does mean however that they have to provide suitable support to enable you to record your findings / theories / research etc.
I would definitely pursue this and get as much help and support as possible from Dyslexia Association and other people as suggested on here.
I think they are very wrong and clearly the poor support given by your Supervisor is a serious and important factor and one that they need to seriously consider and take action over.
I'm happy to hear you have 2 weeks off and hopefully you can get away somewhere nice and have a relaxing time.
I went to Sheringham last weekend (Norfolk coast) and had a lovely time swimming in the sea and eating lots of lovely ice-cream. They had some fab pictures of lovely campervans by the seaside and I was very tempted to get one and send it to you - having read all the hassle you've had, I wish I had now....
I was in BHS replacing my swimming costume yesterday and picked up a pair of socks with cherries on. I was wearing stripy socks but they were grey and white stripes so not overly cheerful!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Fay, you are a star, and dont let the annoying little things you scrape off the bottom of your shoe tell you anything different!!!!!0

Waves from a ferry almost in Aberdeen. I filled in my response to my meeting yesterday.
Might have set the cat among the pigeons a bit with phrases like legal, inclusion and seeking professional advice.
