    sunshine - wots that?

That the stuff you see from a prison (office)?

    Waves to all

roll on friday - am I prepared - NO - but slowly but surely getting somewhere even if its nearer the job centre

Just worked out I need to make 550 a month if I get bumped from PhD to break even - without the new student chap - so will hang fire the now x But have a spread sheet set up for various scenerios - and will see what happens - happy to do anything - so if I go at least we wont starve!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

  • Money saving this week

    Um - no life=no spends :)

Eating from the cupboards as all away soon - kids will be gone for 4-5 weeks - which is I have to say a bit RUDE of them - but I guess they do need to see their Papa.

Darwin mysteriously went in for a wee oil leak and has had his gear box changed? From a 5speed to a 4 speed - no one asked - I took down the old gear box for the plate bit they needed NOT to change his gear box

Now have NO idea if we can even take him on his holidays - the guy isnt sure when he's back or will be fixed, just as well I am busy or I would be doing that thing that Sonic the hedgehog does when he taps his foot

Not a happy stripeysocked person at the moment.

Oh dear Fay! You should definitely tap your foot and purse your lips, and lots of other angry looking things besides :(

Good luck for Friday. I do admire your attitude - things will turn out for the best I'm sure. Remember this will not stop you from doing another PhD later if you want to! With a more sensible and supportive supervisor, that is... And well done on working out contingencies! I live on about £550 a month at the minute, and manage perfectly well :) I can earn it in about 2 or 3 days work a week too (even on rubbishy wages), so plenty of time for gardening! :)

97 days left and counting til mine HAS to be finished - think it's churlish to give up now?? :) I think even I can put me head down for 97 days :) Or rather 67 - I want it done by the end of August...

On the plus side, got diagnosed with overenthusiastic thyroid (at least that's what mr Daffs is calling it, lol!) the other day. So that explains the racing heart, over heating, dashing around doing stuff all the time (doesn't seem to have made me lose weight though!). I hope I don't lose all sense of urgency once they treat it!

Look after yourself Fay, I've been looking at old holiday photos and am dreaming of Orkney again now...

luckily i never ask if my bum looks big in anything as i know it's HUUUUUGE. He's realised the error of his ways now and we have sorted it out. lol

girls girls! You are getting this all wrong. I learnt this from a large attractive Columbian woman who would greet her husband with "I'm gorgeous. Why am I particularly gorgeous today?" It could be a new lipstick, a manicure, her long hair trimmed by a few millimetres, but he had to work it out :rotfl::rotfl:
Mind you with her temper, she absolutely ruled the home front, and he was happy :D

You just tell them that you're gorgeous, and most OH's would agree. (What are they going to say, that actually they have bad taste in women???)

Ladies, we are lovely. :D And those of us larger ladies are curvaceous and womanly. (You Slim ones are gorgeous too ;))

    elderflower sorbet update ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

,,,,anyone know what to do with a bowl of elderflower syrup :confused:....
.....how it didnt freeze I dont know .........:confused:
and now all my elderflowers have gone passed there best so are now at the not nice smell (cats wee) stage so I cant try again until next year ,
    Ho hum ............

BUT Water melon sorbet was a success :j :j :j an so easy , I only used a 1/4 melon,

    Watermelon, seeds removed
    Castor sugar

Remove the skin from the watermelon and cut the flesh into chunks.
Puree in a food processor until smooth.
Add sugar, a couple of tbsp at a time, until it is sweet enough.
Remember that the cold will dull the flavour a little.

Chill the puree for two hours, then freeze in a container or churn in an electric ice-cream machine. Store the sorbet in the freezer until ready to serve.:D

Keep at it fay , saturday will be a weight lifted day and you'll feel so much better

Been invited to join the post office post thingy where you get stamps for posting letters , :T .

hi fay, sorry to hear about Darwin, how can they do something so fundamental as change him from 5 gears down to 4 without even asking? or even doing the work at all without asking? I'm sure i'd be doing more than just a bit of foot tapping.
good luck for tomorrow, i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, hope it goes the right way for you, but at least you have a contingency/ or you know what your up against if it doesn't (but i'm sure it will)
last night harvested loads of mang tout and some rhubarb, my broccolli is doing well but i think one may have flowered which i guess means it's too late for that one.

    Hello Fay

    Good luck for Friday!

You seem to be handling it in a very good way especially considering how stressful this whole situation must be.

I hope it all goes well and that you have something nice planned for Friday evening so that you have something to look forward to regardless of the outcome.

    Take care
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
