Maybe he needs a pair of stripey socks to be able to see things your way.

785.gif preferably slapped with said socks would have thought :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:nope he would just think that is one more eccentric thing his rich sister did. Especially after seeing the picture of your washing line.

I don't families can be so tricky. I have step family, and thought I was doing one of them a favour. Apparently this wasn't true and she now doesn't want anything to do with me. It has really upset me, not because I got something wrong, but cos she was so scathing about my motives and she has known me for over 20 years, and could still think this of me.

Ref you mid life crisis bro, the thing about never being there for him, well as you say Canada is a big place and it takes two to stay in touch. Doubly hard even 10 years ago when email and internet were still unusual etc, and skype not even invented yet.....

you sadi that he hasn't contributed anything, but also have you asked him? Be blunt and say that you nor your other bro, can support him and he needs to contribute, even if it is only buying the milk whilst he is there, or putting a tenner in the petrol pot.

I feel sorry for his GF if he is like this with her. She sounds far too good for him.... and to have a strop cos she got a job. And if she did leave and go up to you to be with him, then there would only be something else he would want her to do. Because it is not about the job it is about power and control in the relationship.

I hope that this doesn't distract you too much from the work you should be doing. Don't be afraid to put in a mitigating circumstances form, ie family crisis if it will help with the assessment.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

fay i've been worrying about you....
i was watching an RSPCA program and this bloke was sent to prison for having dead birds etc (obviously not the chicken type birds) in his freezer. He did have 7000 eggs as well but the birds in his freezer we're a bad idea as well. Well i suddenly thought.... doesn't my friend Fay have puffins and such stuff in her freezer ? have you kept in with the local copper? cos we don't to have to send PAD's to bail you out if you get caught!

*ahem* I accidentally (yes - honestly!) flicked my OH with a damp tee-shirt a few years ago....well if I'm really honest, the flicking wasn't entirely accidental, but I genuinely didn't intend to catch him where I did.....I gather from his reaction it stung a bit......;)

    :o

You are turning into a fruit loop - :D BTW ta for the lovely (HM?) card.

I will um check out my secret stash and I will make sure i am not breaking any laws

I use to live wiht someone from RSPB so I will endeavour to blame them if the cops come - hes in antarctica so they can go and get them there :)

Flicking shudders my least favourite hting

Chev funny he said exactly the same thing as you - you don't ask for anything - I come from a long line of takers..........................................I have tried to depress that gene expression in myself - so there is definately fault on both sides.

Managed to fall out with my evil supervisor at work quite specacularily - I have put in a formal complaint about him so works um interesting at the moment :)

I am not expecting much to be done - hes busily going around saying to my bosses - oh dear I (he) doesnt seem to be handling things very well. And is blaming his inexperience. My bosses said to me 'well you can ask for a different supervisor but who would do it, its probably not going to change anything'.

Doesnt of course come to me and say the same thing, if he had a bit of humanity about him I might actually see him in a decent light.

Zoe Ball is on the radio - my word

OH up today to help get the with sanity, children and doc proofing here for me before report in on Monday.

    :) deep breathes :)

    I asked the outcomes - I have my formal interview/exam on 26th June 2pm

Upgrade to - PhD stay another 18 months
Upgrade to MPhil stay til Dec
No upgrade - write up wrok so far - MRes
Bummed out and sacked - hopefully NOT that option.

My whole life seems to be one family crisis sometimes :) so I don't think they will take that into account - went into work in full stripey mode on Friday - pink stripey socks with 3/4 length trousers and little tiny girly shoes - :rotfl:very scientific like.

All else wise very goood int he stripey socks household :)

Waves to you all and sends you lots of love.
