well my moral dilemma of last month is over, they have finally found out they made a mistake and have taken the money back off my account. Of course as they had promised to tell me as soon as they rectified the mistake so i could sort my end out, oh yes they forgot to do that didn't they!!! i went over the card limit as it's all happened since i check the account last sunday. I've now had a 'discusion' with them and have been told i won't be charged for going over the limit as they've made a mistake (don't believe them for some reason so taken every reference i could) and have put the money i've had in backup back on the card. Now they won't take this months direct debit so i'm going to have to face that battle before the next statement is due. I just want to scream.

Been for blood tests today, so will hopefully get the results within a week. Work has been a bu99er as well, just more and more of it in tighter deadlines.
sorry for the winge, just got thrown when i opened a letter saying my card was over the limit when they let me use the same card on the way home from work tonight

DH managed to take our card overdrawn by £5 on Friday because the card isn't a 'Link' card so the cashmachine didn't 'know' we didn't have enough money:mad:. That'll be a £25 charge mid July.

Fay your brothers are like chalk and cheese aren't they? But doesn't buying him a bus ticket from Aberdeen mean he'll have to get the more expensive ferry to there too? Wouldn't it have been better to get him a ticket from Thurso so he can suffer a longer bus journey:rotfl:or is he more likely not to go if that was his choice?

Good luck with the assessment on monday.

Sounds lovely hamster, please can you share the recipe for both the cordial and the cheesecake.

I have a black elder bush in my garden, it has bright pink flowers, do you think I'd get a pink cordial?

Wow, there's a lot going on. Hope everyone is coping with all the stuff that life is throwing at them.

I have some elder flowers that are still on a bush that has to get chopped right back - its fallen across the path that leads to the rest of the garden, and there's no way to shore it up. Recipes gratefully appreciated!

probably a hint of pink

For the cordial , I looked at this one first ,
    http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/570531/
and then this one turned up on sunday ,
    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/food_and_drink/recipes/article6414460.ece
I used this one , mainly because the time scale was quicker , I tweaked it a little ,cutting back a little on the sugar and added a lime instead of the orange. :j

As for the cheesecake recipe I havent quiet decided yet what I'll do , I'lll probably just adapt a lemon cheesecake recipe, rather than do a baked cheesecake.

Yesterday I had some free time so had a go at making an elderflower emulsion and an elderflower froth  , just for garnishing purposes ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,needs more work. :rotfl:

    Brothers very funny yeah

just found out my mother took him to the ferry terminal and he got her to buy his RETURN ticket:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have had words with her she's a pensioner - and whilst not parent of the centuary he's constantly borrowing money from her and he never pays it back.

    Man am I cross

Single bloke, no kids, 8k (ONLY 8K) worth of debt and he smokes like a chimeny and has no money every week so my mum bails him out most weeks

I want to punch him - or at very least slap him with a very soggy wet fish several times

He's not even bought a pint of milk since he's been here, offered petrol or anythign - yeah they have done some gardening but OMG - he's not offered petrol even and anything.

I said I will get the cash for the bus ticket he looked a bit quizzical (£7)
I want to say OK you Winker - give me £47 - so I can pay mum back
