Apologies for not noticing Piq, must be the introspective bit of me..nudges up to make room..but has also been out in garden for sunshine and stuff.:DWell the Lake District, but that is a big garden isn't it?:D

...Lake district is amazing, be a fantastic garden, wouldn't fancy cutting the grass though...

I've decided I don't have enough time to be fed-up, it's just the accident talking, need to sort out the repairs on the house and stop brooding over them. Still willing to share wine though

Very proud of you Fay, always have been! Hurrah for the meal planning!! Don't forget to put a take away on the plan every now and again, makes it fun rather than a chore!

one scheduled in for after my birthday (cos that will be a meal out which is tricky cos traditionally the ankle biters come so that means the nice restaurant but not the birthday style treat really nice restaurant) Unless we can hoodwink them to go out another night and we can do both nice and especially nice restaurant :)

and I guess a takeaway now and again doesnt hurt too much

especially if one of the anklebiters are away and there are less folk to buy for

EEEEK methinks your patch needs some organic matter my dear - helps the soil to be all lovely and moist and juicy when it gets a bit dry - poor you - hope you didn't lose too much stuff .

    What you all having?

That sounds about right, never put anything in at all thinking I would do next year - oops! :o Will put some in before planting anything else out. Going to pick up some more free big planty pot thingies tonight so might (to be quick and cause its easy) pick a bag of shop stuff to at least put around the raspberry bushes. I lost my whole crop of sweetcorn and most of the pumpkin plants. However, still have six I didnt plant out so they will be fine.

Not sure what having for main as its so hot, I cant really be bothered but its most likely chilli from the batch cook and ...... you guessed it.... home grown stewed rhubarb!! :j which I will prob have with a wee tub of ambrosia rice which I think is about at sell by date

Oh great news - people who took penguin chops dog (the manic insane but lovely collie) don't think they can cope with her - so she's coming back home after an extended holiday -

Better news is the lovely new freecycle bed is gorgeous.

Runs off to sadly post a photo - of the spare room and the lovely bed :)

Why thank you - will strip the wood back on the bed after the summer as it looks gorgeous and wax it and it will look amazing

    - brocolli - just like normal stuff boiling water for a few mins depending how crunchy/soft you like it?

Thanks, that worked out well although shame it loses the lovely purple coloiur on cooking!

That sounds like a good plan for the bed.

I love your idea for an outside balcony secret garden / study. It will be so nice on Sunny days to work and not feel you are missing out on the lovely weather.
