  • I get scared of these places because so much of it is branded stuff that I don't know of or not sure about I guess you have to be careful.

Need to be braver - the sugar price does look good!! Thanks guys :)

  • Update today

Glass door to fix will be £150 quid - OMG need to see quickly if insurance will cover it
Moved £5 over to scary loan
Spent most of last night on mysupermarket - putting in my going south list:eek:

Scary stuff when you do add it up.

Need a good mouch around the shops here as (thanks EH) no point in buying 24 bottles fizzy water south and clogging up my car when I can get them here for 13p anyway.

My pal also reminded me that Ikea has coffee for £1 a bag usually so will need to check there before I get any from supermarkets.

Sunny but blowy here today - Hope you are all well. I am a bit down - no idea why - hope will perk up later on.

Office colleague has confirmed he's coming to move in - but wants to do cash every month - nothing I say will convince him to just do a DD - men.

Need to ring lady about the desk on freecycle we were offered for his room and see what else he will need - room is pretty well 100% sorted - it will be empty for a week inbetween b&b boy and new lodger moving in so that gives us a bit breathing space.

get on the BRB :j :j :j obviously dont start it cause thats not very dfw:rotfl:

cash UP front every month or DD on payday ,or no deal

Your room (kinda) your rules , you tell him.
Your not at work now .

    Thats what Id do.
If he decides he doesnt want the room because of that , its probably for the best in the long run ie, no money problems interffering (sp?) with work.

  • Thanks HP. - :D just read the small things thread (properly this time OMG Happy birthday - you are very special xx) - well done on the stripey socks!

Tis my granpa's birthday today (well it would be if he was still with us) so probably why a bit glumsome.

He was a gardener and my absolute inspiration, he gave me my first pair of wellies - followed by a sack and also made the task at hand of lifiting potatoes when I was about 4, alot of fun. He was also full of mischief:D

Going home at lunch to potter about and think nice things about gardens and granpas.

Totally agree with hampsterpoo about rent payment ... hugs to you, Fay, about your grandad. Much loved - and much honoured today, in what you're doing. Enjoy the rest of the day.

  • Hurrah for chickens!!

I put the bale of hobnob-swapped straw into the chickens today - they have been getting a bit forlorne looking standing by the gate of the rather squishy underfoot fruit cage this past week or two.

So having wrestled in the bale and then started to break it up about the enclosure they are as happy as larry scratching around in the nice straw - cheered me up no end, I nearly took a photo. Can't be nice squishingn around in mud all day can it? Uless you are wearing wellies and they don't make wellies for chickens.

3 eggs too - so I forget what that takes me upto - whoops must go look!
    Thanks KK x

Hi L - wow on the 14 eggs a day front - we get 2-3 ever other day - so I think one is laying everyday and the other isn't - as they are freecycle hens - I guess I definately can't complain
