Mind you, I don't take notes, so I won't remember it later.0 -

Before we go running away with this, do we actually have proof that someone has threatened NDG. I have read a number of posts where people keep asking for the culprit to be 'named and shamed' but no one seems to have any idea who did it. Is this not the usual case on this baord where someone states something (perhaps in jest) and it gets repeated so many times that it becomes factual. Like 70% average house prices drops, etc.
Do we have actual evidence that NDG's absence is due to abuse, or is it simply that she has decided that MSE is a little too addictive and that she is having a break to spend more time doing her job or being with hubby and kids? Posters do come and go from forums you know.... it might be nothing more than she's bored and want a rest from all the ranting that goes on here. I know I do sometimes.
If she has been threatened as has been reported, then she's not here for a very good reason so stop worrying about it. She's not daft and will take whatever steps are necessary to sort it out.
I have to add that I though she gave too much info out as well, I almost pm'd her to advise to take down the photo of the house she posted. Maybe I should have done.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Come off it, half the population of MSE likes you (and the other half don't even know you exist), but I can never get an idea of what you look like in my head. For the rest of the posters I have this image in my mind, but with you its very misty.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Ah right. I suppose the thread was deleted by the mods?
Did anyone read it and remember who the culprit was?Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

That was a while ago.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
As I have said before, I and others received highly abusive PMs a while back. By their tone and the fact they were in a very bold red font I can only assume that it was from a poster who almost daily changed his handle. When I refer to handle I mean his user name not the one on his brolly.0

A lot of people know that I have a disabled daughter, that I gave up working in a job where I was home every night for a series of contracts where I was away all week, overseas and in London in order that my wife could give up her job and look after our little one. People know I have an interest in pensions and how much I have in my pension pot, that I have an interest in investing and what I have invested in, they know that I used to get lonely being away from my family all the time and so I filled all my evenings with the gym, kickboxing and socialising, people know that I have paid down my mortgage by £45k and that I am now in a position to give up contracting and get a local job again (which I have just done). They know all these things, yet they do not know where I live (apart from close to Manchester, which covers a wide area), they have no idea what my parent's house looks like, they have no idea what colour I am, they have no idea what I or my children look like they have no idea what religion my family belong to. They don't know these things because, for one thing, we're on a financial website there is no reason for them to know these things and for another, 'they' are a mixture of weirdos & decent people and it only takes one of the weirdo's to turn your life upside down.
