I know the PM incident did occur, I was on that thread and received a PM from NDG regarding the details, asking if I knew who it was. But I didn't. I was utterly useless. I assumed she'd then proceeded to "do the right thing" and it wasn't mentioned again.... until this thread.

I still think she's on holiday.

Yeah I got a threat via PM. Nothing too severe but enough to put me off going to the pub (and things must be bad if I'm not going to the pub!).

I have no reason to disbelieve NDG got a nasty PM. I've had a few rude ones in my time.

I've never bothered to report them as I never seriously thought I was in danger.

As I have said before, I and others received highly abusive PMs a while back. By their tone and the fact they were in a very bold red font I can only assume that it was from a poster who almost daily changed his handle. When I refer to handle I mean his user name not the one on his brolly.

Very sad to hear that Pobby, I didn't realise others were affected also, I must have missed your post.

I never knew that happened because I never read that thread re your leaving do.
Did you report it to the police?

You've got a friend in me baby :D

Come off it, half the population of MSE likes you (and the other half don't even know you exist), but I can never get an idea of what you look like in my head. For the rest of the posters I have this image in my mind, but with you its very misty.
I don't want to embarrass PN at all (and have taken on board all the personal info warnings) but I know what she looks like and she is gorgeous (IMHO of course).
I won't expand, but can assure you that her physical appearance is way up there with her intelligence and personality.
And PN, if you want me to delete the above...just send me a PM.;) And I will delete straight away.
I'm getting scared of all this weirdo stuff too now.

So I gather you had similar? Not frightening at the time but to think he threatened to turn up, gun in hand to the HPI bash is scary. I know that over the years there has been a lot of heated debate re the subject but to turn up with a gun....oh well!

No, I meant others as opposed to NDG.

    How many nutters are there?

Are there really people who take house prices so seriously they threaten people physically because of it?

From previous comments, I'd assumed the PM to NDG had something to do with religious/political reasons, rather than just being miffed because she'd insulted someone's interior decor, or somebody objected to her choice of smilies or something?

How non-offensive do you have to be for this not to be an issue?
