Not as far as I am aware.
I have received pm's in the past regarding my current status and they have not been exactly complimentary...I tend to ignore them but any threats to my children would leave me feeling rather eek.
things to do if and when someone gets such threats-
-print the message pronto. the net can be quirky and messages can disappear
-inform the police in writing about the threat
-inform forum management in writing to provide details about the perpetrator so that copies can be provided to the police
-ignoring any threats or not forwarding such threats to the police is foolish
- even if the threat was an empty one done during a drunken moment, the perpetrator should face the consequences when the police follow up on the complaint and this will obviously go on their CRB record which will show up on any future CRB checks done by employers. people who f*ck around with the law should face the consequences. (especially if it is a threat to a child that should get the offender on the police list that alerts all employers to prevent them access to jobs where children might be present on the premises)bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I think a lot of people take the internet far too seriously. No disrespect to you bubbles, but you seem to be one of them. The internet isn't real life, it's just a load of people with far too much time on their hands posting whatever happens to be in their heads at that moment in time on internet forums. You should take anything posted on the net with a large pinch of salt, PMs included.
I don't know (nor care) what the circumstances are surrounding NDGs disappearance or the alleged 'life-threatening' PM, but let's be honest here, the latter should not really be too surprising when you consider her (family's) origins and the current headline news stories. That doesn't excuse the behaviour of the 'hate mail' originator - far from it - but when there's virtually a civil war going on between your home country and another, it's not a good idea to keep mentioning your origin, which is something that she frequently does.

I still have £1 riding on my "holiday theory".
It's either that or the "You're all nutters and not worthy" theory.0 -

its a free country. she (NDG) can do as she pleases. no one can do illegal things to her or anyone else using some sh1te that happens elsewhere in the world as an excuse for their illegal behavior.
but i do agree we should take internet stuff with a large pinch of salt.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

Sometimes it can go a little too far and it crosses into the real world.

Well there's nothing in that link that says it was an enraged gamer that topped him. That said, I do agree that it could happen, however 99% of the time they're nothing more than keyboard warriors having a bad day. Just don't leave any trails back to yourself and problem sorted - let them get on with whatever they claim they're gonna do.

You make a good point here. Whatever you discuss on your posts about yourself is the same as sitting next to a total stranger in a pub and telling... It's easy to forget.0
