Yes, apologies if I did not explain it clearly. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -

The way I understood it was that at 19c the house would not cool so much and therefore recovery times should be shorter? MIL says house is nice and warm! I wouldn't be warm enough at those temps personally. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

That was what I was trying to explain. A UFH system, can cope easily at 19C, even with a flow temp reduction of 1-1.5C overnight. With rads, flow would be max 4C flow temp reduction.
With the set-up you have, you are using room temperature as the control, so therefore the reason for the pump operating continuously trying to recover to 21C.
But, if MIL is happy then leave as it is!!! She is paying the bills, I hope.As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
But this is the way they have set it up to operate so not sure of any other way of operating it?If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0

As there is no other way that I can see at the moment, then you need to get the room thermostat control, at overnight, to a reasonable level. The room temperature is controlling the heat pump totally.
Without me going back into the manual again, can you overide the internal thermostat and set the pump to run on the external air temp setting only?As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Am looking at the installation manual again, can you let me know the pump size for output? As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0

It is a 14kw Samsung unit, there doesn't seem a way to override the internal temp sensor with the outdoor temp.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

Look at P15 of the manual you emailed me, that gives a lot of info. Set the unit up in test mode, you do need a 17ltm flow rate. Check the filter to make sure it is clean on the heating circuit. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0
