Best: Colombia - wonderful people, lots of fun and excitement (if you have never been to a Colombian party you have never lived), great music, beautiful landscapes.

Worst: USA - a brain-dead population, tacky cities, minimal public transport.

To see the best of the USA you must visit the real cities, Birmingham AL, Montgomery AL, places steeped in History and arguably the foundations of the free America we see today.
  • Best: California generally (pref central coast Monterey to San Luis Obispo), South Island of New Zealand

    Worse: Montreal
  • Best: Bali - But it was 1985 guess it wouldn't be so good now. Otherwise Boston as a base for New England

Worst: Port el Kantoui - Tunisia

Don't be so hard on Tenerife outside the main tourist resorts it is much better.

Best - Cairo - fantastic city, superb people, opening the curtains to see the Pyramids

Worst - Paris - unsurprisingly full of French, so dirty, rude and arrogant.
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

Best in UK - a small village in the Dales that I can't name because it's not been 'discovered'. Yet :shhh:

Worst in UK - Worthing - the hardest part of that weekend was avoiding the zimmers and elec scooters all over the pavements

Best overseas - anywhere north, east or south of UK, ancient places with thousands of years of history

Worst overseas - Never been there but I can't think of anything worse than having to go to that Disney with guns called America.
