Best: Manhattan, I would happily move there tomorrow
Worst: Las Vegas, artificial contrived hell hole, and unfortunately I am back there for a conference in September, Grrrrr 4 days in Hell.
  • Best : Paris (although anywhere in France will do me as you might tell from my username) close 2nd Berlin (going back there next week)
Worst : Malta (you either love it or hate it) and wasn't too fussed on Rome

  • Best - Tanzania. I did voluntary work out there as well as going on safari, and the experience cannot be put into words.

Worst - probably Salou or Magaluf. Get on a plane, land in one of these places and feel like you've paid a few hundred to go to Blackpool on a Saturday night with a little extra sunshine.

    Very interesting thread, BS!
    For me:

Best: Amelia Island, Florida - island on the Atlantic coast, on the Florida/Georgia border. Just beautiful, and within reach of lots of other fantastic places.

Worst: Hmm - actually can't think of anywhere I've hated, but we don't go on holiday that often, so I do spend ages researching before we go anywhere to avoid the possibility, lol!

To those who love Sydney - any good tips on accommodaion for 2 adults and 2 teens:cool: gratefully received! Planning on Sydney-Brisbane-Port Douglas next summer:j

Best - Hong Kong. It has everything, national parks, beaches, shopping, sightseeing, restaurants. It's very safe, very friendly and the public transport system is very clean, very efficient and very cheap. Also English is everywhere.

Worst - a gite in the countryside in southern France. Boring, boring, boring.
