"anyone know the difference between the Sony 32" Models:

    32V4000 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-3966.aspx"

The Sony site has all this info

Biggest differences here are the contrast ratio and the sound are much better on the V series. Definitely worth the extra (assuming you have the extra!)

    Much appreciate, thank you!

I do have the extra but im trying to be as money saving as possible. Im still a bit miffed I missed the £299 Richer Sounds deal so im constantly looking for an equally good deal before I part with my money.

I think the best thing for me to do now is head instore and see what the quality of the lower brands are like. I really dont have a grip on the quality gap different brands have on each other.

  • I've been researching cheap tvs for gaming for my son's birthday. Best results I've found so far are Morrisons- available in store, black glossy 32" HD Freeview tv £273.

And BT website for Samsung 32" in trendy white £309 -works out 3% cheaper if purchased via Quidco.

Also worth a visit is Bargain crazy -Littlewoods Catalogue clearance store -even better if you can get it to accept 20% discount code online.

Plus Richer Sounds have clearance bargains of 32" tvs for £249, check out your local store's bargain clearance online.

No mortgage but a teenage dirt bag to waste my money! :p

For a good quality portable for the bedroom, this is a good deal with the 5 year guarrantee, my brother had a Hitachi lcd tv and it cost him nearly £200 to get it repaired and it was only 18 months old.

My personal preference is the Panasonic HD TVs, great picture and great quality. Pick just about any model check the internet for reviews and they are always usually 9 or 10 out of 10.

My wife used to work at Tescos, her friends and collegues all say the same about Technica don't touch them with a barge pole. "Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for".

Not sure about these guys, are they Grade A refurbished ? Because the prices are about the same as you can find for brand new.

Just a note, don't buy from the BT website, it is merely a re-seller website for dabs.com. Also, check out ebuyer.com.
  • yes they are grade a and to be honest i have just got this one and i have looked everywhere and cheapest i can get it was £560 plus del and as i only live 10 miles from one of there pickup points it worked out as quite a bargain

I got the MSE email on Wednesday at about 7.30am and logged onto the 'TV for under £250" website and ordered one for £249.99. Free delivery on 5 day shipping so I took that. Next day it was supposed to be delivered but snow closed the delivery depot so had to wait till Friday. Great piece of kit works a real treat. It sold out quickly though so my thanks to Martin for the early notice.
