So he cooked 1 chicken breast which he then chopped up really small and added to the soup so it had small bits of real chicken in it.
It really lifted it and I really enjoyed it. ..........
Didn't need to do the curry powder this time but will try in future - veggie curry soup sound yummy!
I think if you add curry powder you are supposed to do it early for best results - say after the veg go in to cook but before stock. I had another veggie curry soup this week (soup of the day when I was having lunch with friends) and that was good too - but no oranges and apples in that one.Miggy

ok so mil bought me a slow cooker in march and i havent used it yet. oh is demanding veg soup for christmas dinner despite my protests that parsnip soup is so much nicer.
so my question is does anyone hacve an easy recipe for veg soup in a slow cooker...its a wee cookworks one from argos if that helps?love you lots like jelly tots0 -
You really can't make mistakes in a SC. Chop up veggies of your choice (carrots, swede, celery, leeks, parsnip, turnip, onion, spuds.....). Add lots of veggie stock. Season. Add herbs if desired.
When cooked a few hours later, you can either thicken with a little flour and water or blend some of it with a stick blender or liquidiser and return to the SC as that will have thickened it, while still leaving some veggies whole.TL0 -

It depends how many veg you put in. Cover all the veggies with stock. So it's about an inch above them.TL0
