MSD..... have you looked at the Skoda Roomster, its high up off the road and very comfortable, when our car goes in for service they always give us a roomster, the 1.4 TDI Roomster 3 is what I would be going for if I had not already bought the Fabia, would have got a Roomster if they had one,but they are in demand.......
The snow is still on the ground, the roads are clear, we nipped up to Wilko's to get a new bathroom bin and for OH to have a look at the plastic greenhouses for the allotment.........I bought him a treat, a bar of Cadbury's fruit and nut chocolate...................OH has been fine today there seems to be a pattern emerging, he seems to get dizzy's at the weekend and be ok in the week......we do not do anything different at weekends..........wish they would buck up and send the appointment so we can find out once and for all what is going on..........
My tooth is still jigging, it doesn't ache or hurt when I bite on it, so not sure whats going on......I have dentophobia.......I did not go for years......its only in the last few years I have gone each year for a check up and not had to have anything done..........can you get cold in a tooth????????Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Well done! Now you need to be totally OS a la my Grandma and find a small, attractive tin. Cut off all buttons on clothes not going to the charity shop (as you are going to turn them into handkerchiefs and so forth) and put them in the tin. This is your button box. Now, you will always be able to replace a missing button and so save money on new clothes.
Or, you could be like me and have a lovely button box and a huge pile of mending that waits months/years to be done.0 -

Evening all
Congrats to Celyn.
School was closed again today, I managed to stick it out until 2 & then came home, it was so cold, the heating is still not working & I have one wall that is entirely glass, single glazed & badly fitted, brrr.
Hubby has finished painting the study, it's looks lovely & fresh & clean. He has now moved on to the hall, stairs & landing.
I've nearly finished knitting a gillet, hopefully it will keep me warm at work.
Have a good evening all.
Hugs Hester

Evening everyone
another cold but not snowy day here. The snow that fell yesterday evening turned to rain by midnight and so was washed away by this morning.
Hubby is on another late so got him to nip me to Netto for some loo rolls this morning.Charmin 24pack for £6.39!I paid £9.99 for the same thing in Lidl the other week:eek:
I've changed our bedding and remade the bed.Done two loads in the WM and shovelled the usual detritus from downstairs back into the bedrooms which no doubt will magically find its way back downstairs by tomorrow morning:mad:
MSD-Good Luck with the car hunt. Both my brothers have mobility cars and dread the renewal hunt
Celyn I'm assuming that the Viva was in connection with your PhD?Well done if it was cos I've heard they can be extremely difficult to get through

For those who don't know what a viva is - it's an exam, done in the form of an in-depth face-to-face interview/presentation. It's most often used as part of the examination process for higher or doctoral degrees, and is sometimes also used for bachelor's degrees particularly if the candidate's other final exams have left them right on the borderline between two grades.
Congrats celyn :TOperation Get in Shape
