Love them?Yey! got my new trolley from Aldis:j
Couldn't go on Sunday when they were put out as a 'special' so went after work today and they still had a few in. It looks good, holds 20kg and was £7.99 with 30 days return if not ok, + 3 years manufactures guarantee! Sounds good to me.
Got to build it up yourself tho - so hope I don't make a mess of that:o Saturday should see me setting off to town to get me shopping done - much to the embarrassment of DD2 - although I have said that if she doesn't want me to use it she can offer to carry my shopping home for me:D
Said to her bf that I was getting to be a granny before me time as she doesn't think it's an 'in' thing to do! But if it's not popular, then why are they on sale?? Anyway, I don't mind setting a trend - the more the merrier to my mind."It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -
Love them?don't worry about them! just enjoy it. i said to my OH that if he really hates it he can carry the shopping when he comes with me!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Love them?Have just ordered one from ebay (7.99 + 8.51 p&p). I have actually fallen in love with the rolser types (cow print / marilyn monroe) I feel this one is a bit of a compromise, quite funky, mostly black with zebra print.
Thanks for starting this thread, I would never have thought of buying one (I'm in my 20's) I can't stop being annoyingly enthusiastic about all the planned uses I have for it. (OH just rolls his eyes).
I have a few ideas for customising it if it's not how I'm expecting. A punk rock version maybe with the slogan "Get off my trolley"?0 -
Love them?lazarou_true nice one, i'm only 29 too
told my OH i'm taking the trolley on holiday, he's mortified!
in the end i didn't go for a rolser either, decided to save my money, and i'm very happy with my pink oneMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Love them?Rach will definately take it on holiday and be proud! Never been conventional not about to start now. OH's will have to start a support group or something. Hehe! XX0

Love them?I use a wally trolly that you can fold down into a bag till you need it. This really helps as I get my shopping by bus and it saves having to find somewhere to 'park' it on the way into town. I just trot around getting the rest of my shopping leaving the heavy stuff till last and then fill up my trolly.
The one I have now was bought for me by my DD I know that she is not a huge fan of it but she couldn't stand the other one that I had. It can be hard to find the fold up ones and I had bought one in a wonderful Burberry Check. I thought that my 'Chav' bag was a hoot but she didn't. I now have a tasteful pink one but am on the look out for a funky 60s style one (flower power and all that)
The other week I was in Sainsbury's and I got my trolly out to load while I was in the queue. The man behind me thought that I was going to load the shopping into the trolly to take to my car!! and told me what good idea. Such is life today that people cannot imagine being able to exist without a car.
Long live the trolly.True wealth lies in contentment - not cash. Dollydaydream 20060 -

Is your fold down one a large bag on wheels, or does it have a frame? I've just got a trolley from Aldi's for my weekly shop but there are times when I call into supermarket on way home for some milk and end up with a large bagful of whoopsies!I could do with a small fold up one for emergencies like these.

Yes it has two wheels and two legs at the bottom but no frame. I just fold it up and keep it in my bag when I go shopping but TBH it's a bit too big to keep in my bag just in case. I have seen the ones you mean but a long time ago.True wealth lies in contentment - not cash. Dollydaydream 20060 -
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Love them?I wonder why children/husbands/friends all take the micky out of these trollys but all of them would not dream of using anything other than a suitcase on wheels when they go on holiday. My shopping is a lot heavier than my holiday luggage so I just tell my lot they may be made for old people but sometimes good sense comes with age.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0
