Oooh - David Essex, sharon!! What a brilliant pressie - and daffs always make me think of Summer on the way with their lovely colour. Good luck with everything tomorrow - come back and fill us in when you feel up to it.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

I did have the sense to leave the back door closed to day, but it's still not warm so I'm about to put the heating on again.purplecatlover wrote: »i think im gonna be brave and ask dentist about sedation, truthfully i would rather keep the tooth as long as possible, i cant stand the thought of gap or denture.....yet.s/e0 -

You've got a year to recover til the next one *g*. Love the fact that you got her playing the Wii!
SO glad it's only once a year!
She gave me a big hug on leaving, and I don't normally do hugs as a general rule so she must've enjoyed herself. She normally has one of those rise and recline chairs at home that she sits in (virtually right in front of the tele) but here she had to sit on our (relatively low) couches. But that meant that Molly dog got to lie down next to her and get fusses, which they both enjoyed immensely methinks
Honestly, you should've seen her face when she got her first strike, I thought she was gonna cry she was smiling that much! It was worth buying just for that
Raeh glad you mentioned about Jade Goody as I don't watch, listen or read the news and probably wouldn't've known for weeks otherwise. It's very sad for her kids but I'm really glad that, despite the controversy, she had a positive influence in getting women to get checked. Enjoy your Mother's Day
S/e glad you've popped in.We miss you, you knowI do like dark chocolate, but this week I've had cravings for Dairy Milk! I must've sent DF to the shop nearly every day for some!! Good job it's only once a month!
It's been mostly sunny but breezy and fairly cold with it. So long as it's bright though you don't mind so much, do you? I had the heating on most of the afternoon and night yesterday and I think today will be the same...when I can be bothered to go put it on!
Di I went on some other boards and couldn't believe how b!tchy some of them were, it was such a pleasant relief to come back to this one! Feel free to lurk about
Sharon I feel like you've turned up just to give my hand a smackGlad you're having a grand day - enjoy it! We bought MIL2B daffs last week, she loves them, and DF bought me some yesterday too! :j They're on my kitchen windowsill and have just started to open up
I love flowers, I'd get some ever week if I could afford it. Good luck tomorrow, we'll be thinking of/praying for you.
I rang my mum today, as you do on Mother's Day , she was in the pub having lunch but got my card on time so DF must've done his posting dutiesI asked her how my Aunt was doing and she said she'd been rallying since Monday! She's not one for giving up my Aunt! She's got all her kids there today so although it's probably knackering for her I bet she's loving it. I'm really glad she's holding on, apart from the obvious reasons, my sister is in New Zealand on holiday at the moment and she'd be gutted if she didn't get to say goodbye properly.

I went to the cadbury factory a couple of years ago - after partaking of all the free samples (and I did confess when I bought my ticket that generally I'd rather have lindt than cadbury) I did rather put myself off dairy milk by the time I left. Oh, and it's not a good idea to go during the school holidays - hundreds of screaming kids on a massive sugar high is a bit much if you generally have a low tolerance for noise.s/e0 -

I'm a bit the same at the moment. When my brain's consumed on other things I'm not very chatty. It was quite difficult trying to make small talk with MIL2B this week when I'd seen her, esp when I had to wait in the waiting room with her for the scan, it was almost agonising.
I'm not usually such a Dairy Milk junky, and I daresay I'm gonna have terrible spots, but I've just craved it the last few days! I must've gone through 4 or 5 large bars, it's ridiculous! Usually one bar will do for the week...if that! I try not to venture anywhere vaguely child friendly during the holidays, I'm not that patient with the screaming!! Southport beach can even be a stretch sometimes, even though the dunes are usually very remote."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Just seen this posted on a friend's status on Facebook, it's good
Espeicially for Mother's Day I present you with...The Mom Song.

@rse, and double @rse! T/S had very kindly offered to cook me a dinner of my choosing today as it's Mothering Sunday. My original suggestion was for one of his pasta dishes, which he declined to do on the grounds that they tend to only take 20 minutes or so, and didn't seem like enough effort given what day it was. I never realised how hard it was going to be to come up with a meal suggestion that isn't basically a repeat of the sort of stuff we have day in day out. Anyway, I finally decided on a roast. Which he started cooking around 5.30 pm. All was going along quite nicely.
Problem is... he's been on call all week (he comes off call 9.00 am tomorrow). You've guessed, haven't you? He's just been called out to sort out a problem that he can't deal with from home.
So, guess who's now going to have to take over the cooking? Should have insisted on my original choice - it would have all been cooked and eaten by now if I had.s/e0
