Good for you raeh - that's the first step taken. Shocked at the wait though. My surgery is fab and I've never had to wait more than 24 hrs for an appointment and always been able to get a same day appointment when it's been needed.
s/e, sorry to hear you're stilll having !!!!py nights. Hope it settles down soon.
kass, that's a tough one. I think you have to leave the ball in his court and see what happens.
Am putting off doing any tidying up as I really don't feel like it, but am in danger of disappearing into the nest of things I've gathered round me on the sofa. And what on earth am I gonna have for dinner?I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

As for dinner tonight - hmmmmmm. I'm too tired and painful to want the faff of cooking tonight so it might just be toast. Unless T/S is suddenly inspired to do something instead.s/e0 -
What is nice is pasta with pesto. You can also chuck in any odd bits of tomato or cold meat or cheese that you have lying around. I think I may have some pesto in the cupboard - fingers crossed.
My cleaner came on Saturday, but I've been a slovenly wench since then and not picked up or put away a thing since then. Shame as the week before I had kept the place really tidy. I'm just lacking in motivation and energy. I sit and look at it and think "oh well".
But I've also had a couple of those days where ifI can knock it over, it gets knocked over and if I can kick it, trip over it or break it - it'll happen, so I really must clear.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
i want a house fairy
i hope you do get a good nights sleep s/e, iv been having those nights where i lay and look at the clock til after 2 am and still i cant sleep which starts me panicking as the alarm goes at 6.45  at least the good thing about not sleeping is i can do more competitions hehe
cwta iv started to hoard things around me on the sofa lol, once im sat down i have my cushions and pillows to get comfy then i dont move
i do a lot of pasta meals where i just throw in what i have in the fridge, also a new speciality of mine is omelettes as when you have a 'starving' teenage son they are very quick and nutritiousand you can throw quite a few things in those too, thats what he will be getting when he eventually arrives home
the gp have a number of prebook appointments and also a number of appointments for that day, usually its not bad to get one but i had left it too late for a monday as we have morning meeting 8.30  im hoping il get an afternoon one tomorrow.2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0 -
Omelette is a good idea actually as I'm drowning in eggs since the hens started laying. Getting minimum of 4 eggs a day! Roll on Easter *grin*
I don't know how old your kids are raeh, do they have a rota to helps out with the chores? Not that you have to explain your domestic arrangements to me of course!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Auntie Axe pasta and pesto a nice idea, 'cept I've got no pesto (and T/S isn't too keen on parmesan). I must get back into the habit of keeping some in the fridge. Something else to add to my next shopping list.s/e0 -

HI EVERYONE!!!!
Got home this afternoon and had the best mug of tea ever-hospital ones were awful!!!
Thank you all for the lovely messages and kind thoughts-Seaside kept me upto date.
Its been a scary 2 weeks -waiting for results was horrid -the op went well and lm pretty good on my crutches .the pain is under control -on Morphine which makes me dopier than ever.
On thursday pm l have a radiotherepy planning meeting so hope to find out more then as the orthopods would only comment on the operation and not anything related to the cancer.
Having some emotional times as terrified although trying to get my positive head on.
once again thanks for all the love and best wishes -hope to be around for a long while yet

I've read all the Stephanie Myers books - they're not challenging, but are enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing the film. I'm not sure if I've still got the other ones in the series, but if I find them, I'll quite happily send them to you if you want to read them
NOOOooooo I ordered the next 2 in the series on Amazon this morning  I wish Id seen this first. I got them on the new and used bit though so they were cheap.
Dad's wife goes to Thailand tomorrow, so I am then tasked with looking after him and trying to stop him drinking himself to death or at least keep him safe if he's gonna drink. I am dreading it.
Plus, he even said to me yesterday "you can help me by digging over the raised beds" What bit about me being unwell does he not get??!
Thank gawd Sis is coming down at the weekend to give me a bit of a break. I'll either end up killing myself or him otherwise - bleedin family.
Oh cwta I forbid you to do anything strenuous like digging, tell him you'll make the teaI hope hes not going to be too much for you, I do know what its like DS1 has a drink problem, hes trying to cut down at the moment as one of his friends has just died, and his girlfriend has threatened to finish with him for good, he's doing ok at the moment, but we've been here before, as soon as something goes wrong he'll go back to the drink again. Its starting to make him really ill now, well I wont go into it all here, you probably know it all anyway. He will be 27 on Saturday and has a 21 month old little boy who he loves to pieces, but he's killing himself.
Sorry didnt mean to get all depressed again, hes doing well at the moment so fingers crossed.Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Yay!!!!!! Sharon!!! Lovely to see you back. I hope you're feeling a bit less frightened by the time you've had a decent sleep in your own bed.
Do take care, and don't go doing too much too soon, won't you? :j
