sharon Good luck for tomorrow; I'll be thinking of you. If it's any consolation, the food pangs do die down a bit when you've been on the steroids for a while and the puffiness and bloating goes when you come off them too.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Well tonight has been a weird one. The cake plans are sorted and usher who's goin out with the baker (who is my ex) has tried his shirt on and that's fine. Evidently that was where our productivity for the day was supposed to end. We went to try and get DF some work shoes and try to get the groomsmen shoes picked out-mil2b rang when we got there and said she desperately needed someone to make her some food (she's not been well lately, i think maybe a virus?) so we said we'd call on the way home. We rang her on the way home and she didn't answer for aaages... She'd had a fall. The ambulance met us here and here we still are. Ah well.:o"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Thanks pcl and raeh. Mil2b didn't seem to suffer any ill affects from the fall itself, it's more the worry about what's caused her to fall. We've just taken her to the gp's and he's concernede that there may be another psoas abcess forming- you know, the one that's incredibly rare that she's already had 2 of in 18months  I'm concerned that it may be infection where the drain was last time. So now of course my brain is wandering into MRSA territory
We're takin her to hospital now on gp instructions. They're expecting her and her consultants from previous abcesses have been consulted. I shall keep you informed as and when i can...:o

Afternoon all.
Sharon I imagine you'll have had your scan by now - I hope it wasn't too unpleasant for you, and that you've been able to have something nice to eat.
BZ it's a worry about MiL2B, I should think. I hope it's not another of those horrid abscesses, poor woman's been through enough. How's your poor DF's back today?
CwtA how's your dad doing? What we need now is at least a month with none of us, and none of our rellies, going base over apex.
Kass I know the "unable to retain information" thing only too well. Lurk away, mate; if you can pop your head round the door and wave, that's great, just so we know you're OK.
Raeh good to see you. I'm glad DS2 liked the wee video.
Pcl I've not heard anything from the dog-sitting service as yet. The one that I was supposed to have was cancelled (recession biting, I guess) but I might be having Molly again some time in October. Fingers crossed!
:hello: to everyone I haven't mentioned by name.:o
I had a bit of a fright yesterday; went to colour my hair (with Mr LW's help), and when I mixed the bottle of colour, it looked green!:eek: Anyway, we went ahead regardless, and luckily it's ended up the expected shade. But I've never seen that before, and it's the same make as I usually use.Weird.

DLA was refused again today. They've ignored everything me and my doctor said, and the form says I can do everything I said I couldn't. They've even taken away high rate mobility, and denied ever saying I could have it on the phone!
I need the money so badly...I even sent additional evidence on Friday, which there is no way they have taken into account, so that was a waste of time.
Now I don't know what to do. My local CAB are useless, DIAL don't get back to me because they are 'understaffed', and my doctor doesn't know what else to do. Meeting a new specialist tomorrow, but I wanted it to be a pleasant first visit...
Wanted to buy my medical records as evidence, but it's £15 I simply don't have.
Today has been rubbish, I still feel terrible and this has made it so much worse.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Awww Saucy sorry to hear you're having such a rotten time. I hope the new specialist is good, and that you can get some satisfaction there. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

pcl, I haven't read the book and I'm glad because it would have spoiled the film for me. Books are always miles better than films don't you think?
Thanks all of you for understanding. I'm hoping I will get used to these tablets fairly soon as they are adding to my confusion. I just nipped to the co-op and saw a friend. She was looking at me very strange and said "what's wrong with you?" I said I was just a bit confused and she said "oh are you in Kassy land again". I must have a reputation for being away with the fairies eh!0
