I've got a cold *sniffles* I wasn't sure whether it was a flare up starting off but I think it's a combo of cold and tiredness. Spose will have to telephone GP and do whatever they do to check I'm not an "Oinker".
I was gonna hit M&S Sale today too *sigh*.
Ah well, saves me some pennies, eh?

    morning all

cwta sorry about the cold, hopefully it will stay as just a cold and not get worse. plenty of fluids, plenty of rest and hopefully you will feel better soon.

kass your not coming across as manic on here, but you do seem to be doing a lot. how are you sleeping now? an chance of scheduling in a very quiet day over the weekend, one were you dont have to go out at all? and try and get an extra hour or two sleep for a night or two, that should help counterbalance any manicness that is trying to errupt. easier said than done i know (and im a hypocrit i tend to say stuffu and enjoy the mild hypomanic episodes and worry about the fall out if and when they progress into agitated mania or depression). feel free to pm or add me on msn if you want to btw.

    sue how is your dad?

    Hi everyone,

Kass, I don't think it's possible to tell if someone is manic over the internet!

Sorry, I've forgotten what else people have said.

Well I've taken the plunge and booked the appt with the GP - 17th August was the first pre-bookable they could give me with her, that gives me plenty of time to have second thoughts, decide that really I've been coping and can go on coping.

Anyway, change of subject dd is off to the Faroe Islands for a music festival. It looks lovely and she's going at the invitation of the organisers because she's a freelance journo. I'm glad because she's going through a torrid time at the moment having split up with B/f a few weeks ago. He was fine at first but now I think he's realising she's not going to go back to him he's turning a bit nasty.
  • pcl Certainly not panicking whatever - you don't hear about the people who have underlying conditions and recover perfectly (probably thousands), only the bad things. Just playing it cautious in terms of passing wven a cold onto someone else.
Am sat on the sofa under my blankie and have a hot mug of tea by my side, so things are OK.

kass I'm afraid I agree with snoozer, that it's hard to tell over the internet, but given the move etc and upheaval in your life, you're probably running on adrenalin.

snoozer Well done for booking the GP appointment - Way to go!
Hope dd has a good time - you're right it'll do her good to get away.

sue Hope your Dad is doing well.

CWTA you take it easy, oink or no oink
Kass no hun, even i dont know what onion braids are
hiya everyone LW, PC Suep, bp bz....and anyone else i can't think now.

Sun is shining lets have a positive day, oh has driven up to Milton Keynes for a job interview...well he thinks he has the job already this is like an induction thing... fingers crossed for him, i may loose my carer but I'd rather he gets another job...being made redundant destroyed him.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
  • Spoke to GP, he said I have all the symptoms of Swine Flu and offered me Tamiflu, but I said I was concerned about the interaction with all the other meds, so I would rather just ride it out. Just have to stay away from people until I'm better, which is no problem *g*
Dad and his wife can shop for me and drop things onto doorstep for me so that's no problem.

    Pap fingers crossed for OH.

Dad had his op yesterday, they tried again to remove the tumour, but couldn't and they've had to bypass the gut blockage so hopefully he will soon be able to eat again. He just wants to get home and typical Dad is more worried about his wife than himself.

cwta Im so sorry, all you can do is keep warm, drink lots of fluids and rest. I hope your going to be ok and just have a mild version of it. I will send you some Reiki distant healing. Btw, you can do your M&S sale shopping online ;)

Kass Im not sure, Ive not tried onion braids before, I suppose you've already searched online ? Im going to do something a bit easier and make a loaf of bread ;)

Pap Good luck for your oh, I hope he gets the job.

Ive got g/d this afternoon so probably wont get online again until this evening, must get the finger paints out again :D

    Any idea's?
Sorry Kass, with my paws like they are these days, I can't even braid hair - never tried to do onions.

I'm also a little concerned about myself to be honest. Just a random survey and honest opinions from you all. Do you think I'm slightly manic?
Can't really tell from on here, but there's nothing that'd make me sit up and think "flippin' 'eck, she's manic".
