You reckon? Lol, feels like it just gets added to!
There's some things that, once you get going, will knock a couple of items off the list - I was thinking particularly of the stuff to do with the Order of Service; I see OoS on several of the list entries.:o

Personally I'd get onto the passports sooner rather than later.;)

Don't worry - as my grandmother used to say "It'll all come out in the wash".

I don't understand Kass - why have you lost money? You can pay for tax discs online (they post em out to you tho of course) and they know online whether you have insurance or not. What £160 have you lost? And lw's right - they could email/fax/post you a copy too...?

It cost me £260 to get the clamp off. £100 for the clamp removal and £160 surety fee. I had to pay that within 24 hrs or they would have towed it, impounded it and charged me £200 for release, £21 per day impounded plus no release until a valid tax disc could be produced. With no log book (lordy knows what happened to that, I'm a serial loser ) I couldn't just go to the post office and get one. I had gone online to try and tax it but it was saying there were no details for the car. Rang the automated service, said the same thing. Decided to just pay the £260 and sort the rest out later as you get 14 days to produce a tax disc and you get the surety fee back.

So, that skinted me and I had to wait until today (the last day of the fourteen) to tax it as I didn't have the money after that. I the meantime, XOH's step-dad informs me that MOT has run out too (he does my car) and I then realise that MOT, tax and insurance all had to be renewed at the same time. Ok, so I've been driving round with none of these for nearly two months. Insurance is still in my old address (2 houses ago lol) so haven't recieved anything from them (I've also just realised I'm still paying for the tv licenece on that address ).

So, I get myself insured, buy two new tyres and pay for MOT. Get forms for new log book and was told that I could go to DVLA office and purchase my tax disc there. Turned up with my forms etc and they told me I actually need the insurance cert and there is nothing they can do (computer says no). I paid for my new log book, all the while thinking maybe DVLA will give me another week extension or I can get insurance to fax through certificate, then ask when I'll get it. A few weeks he says!! So I've run around like a loon all for nothing and lost £160

All this money I've just forked out could have bought me a little banger that costs next to nothing to insure. Everybody persuaded me not to sell my car a few months ago and if I'd have just done what I wanted to do then none of this would have happened. Absolutely none of this is my fault :D

See what I mean about learning a lesson

Ta dude. I'm not stressing as much as I was. I know what you mean about the OoS stuff - it is something I'll definitely be glad of crossing off! It's frustrating tho cos some of the stuff I can't do without DF, or I can't do without a car, or I can't do until a certain time...you know what I mean? I'd love to be able to just get everything done right now, but I have to wait for suchathing before I can do suchathing...:o

    Ah, it'll be reet...so long as I don't lose the plot ;)

OMG what a complicated tangle! Sounds like you've been running around in ever decreasing circles. Hope you can get it all sorted - it's the sort of thing that'd have me sat on the floor in a corner rocking backwards and forwards and whimpering.

BZ-my son had his tonsils out at 26 and has never felt better-you have all the horrible toxins going round body as well as fibro etc dragging you down. Please seriously consider them to come out-a new year resoluton for 2010 perhaps?
Well l met my new oncologist yesterday and she is a real darling.Bottom line is lm pretty unusal -why me l ask!!Seems thy are pretty sure the tumour in my lung is a new one and not a secondary to my breast.this means prognosis is worse. She is chasing my surgical biopsy thing l need to say 100% and then to say which type of lung cancer it is-2 types it could be -one better than ohter for life expectancy.she has started me on steroids for a month to help breathing.once they know exactly then l start a chemo combination.she is also asking for OT to sort wheel chair and stair lift etc.Came out glad for her honesty but s**t scared!took to my bed to hid but now up dressed and keeping going.

I'm so upset. I've just rung about my rearranged dental (at the hospital for the 3yr old abcess) appt (which has been put back to 4th Aug...and typically is a 9 in the morning appt ) and explained about the ME, !!!!!! immune system, the wedding....and nothing. The nurse person I got put through to was not user-friendly and irritated me...and then told me that there was practically no chance of having my procedure done before the wedding and it would likely take more like 3 months from the point of my initial consultation. That would put it in winter months, so naturally I'll more than likely have some sort of virus or infection whenever they finally schedule it for and even if I don't, I'll more than likely get one because they'll be mauling with infection in my body, plus it'll be winter...ya know?

sharon you must've posted while I was writing my post. I'm not especially positive today, however, I think you need to cling to the hope that the lung cancer is more treatable.
Hugs to you. (And I'm a bit stingy with em, so you should appreciate them even more ;))
