Hi to everyone else.
Just watching man with crane dangle a tonne of blue slate precariously over the car that's parked outside my house.
Off for a nap now.0 -
unity You had a horrendous time at the docs - huggles to you. Hope venting your spleen like that gets it out of your system for a bit.
Just got another ebay find in the post - a book of Art Nouveau crosstitch charts. Yay! I love all things Art Dco/Art Nouveau and my prize possession is a Mackintosh Chair.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Hmmm - I have a tricky one - which is more boring? Cricket? Golf? Or Rugby?O' course, that was after spending 3 hours in the walk-in centre cos...wait for it.... my tonsils have created a little pocket at the back of my mouth (complicated to describe) which a tablet, that I took last night, had got stuck in. It was a nightmare that had me up til 4am before I gave up in a miserable huff, being sick and trying to hoik it out. It's just about starting to go down now...

Unity what a nightmare! The last thing us folks with dodgy immune systems need is exposure to SF - and at the GP surgery, to boot!
I hope all the poorlies are doing better today - thinking specially of the Sue and Kass families, and also hoping Sharon has had a good weekend.
Had a phone call this morning - I've got my first dog booked in, for 16th to 23rd August. A 9 year old German Shepherd. Can't wait! I'm so glad I assigned a special ring tone to the dog sitting service, as the phone woke me up, and if I can't identify who's calling, I tend to press the red button.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
someone mention world of warcraft... seems the only thing i can sit and play now a days....Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

I feel a helluva lot better for getting it off my chest about the GP and the Swine Flu so thanks to one an all :T.
I too adore Art Nouveau (as does DD2) and Art Deco. She has some lovely Mucha inspired pieces from Past Times including a gorgeous clock we bought her one Yule. She's often had books on Mackintosh as stocking fillers too. Our present house is a temple to the Pre-Raphaelite movement, with all our favourites on the walls and I never get tired of looking at them.
I'm off for an early-ish night as my sleep is even more disturbed than usual, complete with post-apocalyptic landscapes peopled by 'Terminator type' machines 'upgrading' the remaining population into half human/half machines. How I would love it if someone could just switch my brain off for a good eight hours.
Nite all :wave:Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
