but making lists is so much more fun than actually completing the chores on the list.

Hi all, thanks for all the good wishes for my dad and gs, they are both feeling a bit brighter today, I just hope they both recover soon.
Kass How long has your son had it ? Hows the toe today ?

Im having a quiet weekend and trying not to do too much, although theres a pile of ironing in the corner and it keeps looking at me :D
I hope everyones having a good day.

He's had it just over a week. He wasn't too bad then took a turn for the worse and started shaking and burning up and he was crying. It was awful but he's ok again now. My plaster came off in the shower and I was forced to confront the toe! Luckily the shower had washed the blood away so I didn't collapse or anything :D
I finally found the sun cream that I was telling you about pages ago - the make is Weleda and it is Edelweiss Sun Lotion Mineral based SPF15 water resistant sun protection. I got it from a Health Food place.

sharon I can't think of anything better to do with cricket than sleep through it!

Am just putting feet up for 5 mins in between sorting some more stuff out - so long as music is on, it doesn't feel so much like a chore and it's starting to look better.

I've got that song in my head now, which ,coincidently bz, is the starting tune for barble fish ;)

I once went to watch cricket. Can't think of anything more boring. We only went cos we got into the vip bit and just got sloshed!!

I always find things aren't so bad if you do them to music :D

    Hi Kass,

Just out of interest why do you need to install the CD? Depending on which OS you are using - you may be able to connect using the 'Connect to' tab in Windows. If you can click on that you should be able to look up what connections are available and connect to your new BB from there. It might just work ;)

Well the engineer said I could connect the yellow wire in a different slot and install it that way and then put it back in the slot it should go in. Tried it and it isn't working  I'll have another go and will be back to get help later.

I've been acting quite manic, I think, lately. Even yesterday when i was quite tired and in pain I was still being a bit manic! I've had no sleep again and been doubled up most of the night in agony. The cramps still haven't completely gone but I'm hoping to get a nap this afternoon. Just need to drag my sorry self out to the shops to get food for poor waifs!

pcl You are sooooo right! I love making lists, but doing the things on them is a whole other barrel of fish *g*

kass Do try to get some rest. The chores will still be then when you are feeling a little better. With the utmost respect to those who actually are, I've always siad I wished I was bi-polar, as when I was manic, I would get so much done! *g*

A pottering day today after finding that Sainsbury had a sale on some plant-related stuff (for the greenhouse) and Poirot is on TV - a nice lazy Sunday afternoon.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

    'Ello everyone.

Just realised why I have a headache - I've been playing catch-up with the thread with the wrong spectacles on!:wall:

I hope the Kass and Suep families are getting over their respective ills and injuries.

Kass of course I haven't stopped talking to you - I just didn't get online at all yesterday.:o

BZ the holiday cottage looks gorgeous!

Just been making blackcurrant jam. We picked five and a half pounds of blackcurrants yesterday, and it took an age to top'n'tail them - we didn't have any music on, but Mr LW found some old cassettes he'd recorded from the radio of shows such as "Just a Minute and "Quote Unquote" so we were listening to those.

I was going to make bread rolls as well today, but he's said he'll have some of the tomato bread for his cheese sandwich tomorrow, and ordinary shop-bought for the jam one, so I'm off the hook til tomorrow. This was after I mentioned how it's always (as BZ said) a spoon-free zone here on Mondays.

    Hope everyone's having a good, pain-free weekend.

its strange but somehow my friends can always tell when my mood is heading towards manic, thats the only time the house will be pile free, clutter free and tidy :) it is entirely possible to run out of things to clean, sort, organise and tidy in a small house, even when those activities are restricted to night time hours of darkness only.

lw i wish i could pop round for tea, hope you dont feel so pooped tomorrow as you normally do on a monday.

kass hope you did manage a nap, sleep is important. sleep well tonight.

cwta a day pottering about is always good, have you managed to keep this week relatively quiet?
hope everone else has had a nice day.

Hmmm - I have a tricky one - which is more boring? Cricket? Golf? Or Rugby?

Seriously, get in touch, we'll get it licked...

    Um...lost me...? :o
I ended up in Sainsbury's today and watching Poirot too. Got the wine for the groomsmen gifts. A nice drop of Casillero Del Diablo (one of DF's faves) which had a 1/3rd off plus 5% off for 6 bottles plus (we bought 12:shocked:)
O' course, that was after spending 3 hours in the walk-in centre cos...wait for it.... my tonsils have created a little pocket at the back of my mouth (complicated to describe) which a tablet, that I took last night, had got stuck in. It was a nightmare that had me up til 4am before I gave up in a miserable huff, being sick and trying to hoik it out. :( It's just about starting to go down now...

    Hope it's not such a spoon-free day tomorrow ;)

I have been lurking today as I havn't got much to say, and havnt really done much either except got dragged out to the local market this morning on my scooter, we got blown to bits it's like gale force winds outside today, in fact I can hear it howling across the fields opposite now, Im glad Im indoors.

LW My Mum made a load of blackcurrant jam today too, she's got a couple of bushes in her garden and has been picking and freezing them down until she had enough. Ive never made jam before, but quite fancy having a go sometime, we're not big jam eaters but homemade is much nicer than the shop stuff isnt it.
Im glad you got a bit more of a rest today and hope you have some spoons left over for tomorrow.

BZ I think all sport is boring and luckily so does dh so I dont have to put up with any of it on the tv :D

Grandson seems a lot better already so I wonder if it was swine flu after all ! But now his mums gone down with whatever it was and she's a lot worse. Im keeping away until their all better.
    Hope everyones ok

Good on ya for getting the wine sorted. Another tick!
I meant finding my natural level shovelling cow shoite *g*

pcl I have absolutely nothing planned for next week except lunch with Dad on Thurs and booking the housefairy for an afternoon. Result!
I hope you understand I meant no disrespect about bipolar.
    How is Whitney?

lw I love your OS cooking etc - I hope I'll get to grips with that when the house is straight. Hope you wake up with spoons tomorrow.

I just had my yearly guilt pleasure of onion rings *g* They belong to no major food group and you may as well grab handfuls of lard and wipe them over your arteries, but I do enjoy them.
